5 Shows To Binge Watch On Netflix

Everyone loves Netflix and sometimes we binge watch shows at a ridiculous rate due to procrastination. Here are some of the best shows to re-watch on Netflix this year.

1. "Gossip Girl"

"Gossip Girl" has encompassed the attention of many teen girls when it started years ago, and it was followed religiously for six seasons. The love triangles, the lies, constant drama and the devotion to friendship and family captured our attention and made the show addicting. After six seasons, it ended with an iconic marriage and exposing of who "Gossip Girl" really is. It has come to light that a new “Gossip Girl” is coming to television so you need to re-watch the original gossip girl before it hits TV.

2. "Gilmore Girls"

Everyone who has ever seen "Gilmore Girls" fell in love with the the small town atmosphere of Stars Hollow and watching Rory grow. The story was captivating and helps people’s interests for many seasons. The final episode left a cliff hanger of people wondering what is going to happen with Rory's many dilemmas. It has come to light that they are making a more episodes with a time jump to see what has happened later in her life. If there was anything to binge watch, binge watch "Gilmore Girls" again before the new episodes come out years after the final episode.

3. "Vampire Diaries"

When the series started, we loved watching the love triangle of Elena, Stefan and Damon. The series is still running, but before the new (and possibly the final) season, re-watch the many love triangles and people dying and coming back to life. Before the final season that is coming soon, re-watch all the death, drama and romance and say goodbye the the beloved show we watched throughout our teen years.

4. "The Office"

When "The Office" started, it was instantly addicting with Dwight's and Michael's personality and Pam and Jim building their romance. The characters' mixed personalities and the funny story lines made the show a must when you needed to unwind after a long day and have a laugh. You can never watch "The Office" too many times, and it's the type of show that you can watch the episodes out of order!

5. "NCIS"

For all the crime show buffs out there, the latest "NCIS" season ended with a departure of our beloved characters. "NCIS" showcases values such as family, friendship and love, while adding crime-solving. The show's current season just ended. Before the next season, catch up and re-watch it! You can watch the episodes out of order and still be so intrigued that you will not want to put your computer down!

Happy watching (and procrastinating)!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
