5 Of The Best Shane Dawson Videos

Shane Dawson's name might ring a bell for anyone of us who have watched a Youtube video a time or two. Being one of the first real-deal Youtubers, Shane has made a lengthy career doing skits, eating food, making conspiracies, and as of late, incredible video series that rival what anyone is doing.

These new video series, with the help of cameraman and co-editor Andrew Siwicki, have been something that many fans have been obsessing over.

Announced a few days ago, Shane will be doing a deep dive into the highly controversial life of Jake Paul, and ahead of his new series' release, I've decided to go back to the very beginning of Shane's new video series format and pick out five of his best video series.

So, without further ado, here is my list of Shane's top five videos below!

1. The Secret Life Of Jeffree Star

Probably one, if not his most successful, video to date, "The Secret Life Of Jeffree Star" was the video that gave Shane the credit he's deserved. Jeffree is considered a pretty controversial Youtuber, and what was nice about this series is the fact that it really dived into what Jeffree's world is like aside from the glitz and glam that most people get to see. Not only do we see a deeper side of Jeffree, fans also got a chance to see just how successful he really is (especially with his businesses!) This is one of Shane's bests, and it's set the tone of just how amazing one could be with a video camera.

2. The Truth About Tanacon

Tanacon was a mess. You know it, I know it, we all know it. The important thing about this video series was the fact it highlighted both parties, not just one side of the playing field. Moving into a more investigative side of things, Shane was able to piece together some of the nightmares that were Tanacon with this video series.

3. Shane's dad seriesĀ

The video series that could be credited for starting it all is Shane's dad series. The three-part series is one of Shane's more serious videos, and it's easily the most personal on his Youtube. The video is emotional, honest, and most important of all, it's real.

4. The Grav3yardGirl series

This video series is a little more all over the place. Starting out the series with titles like "$10,000 makeover" and "$40,000" surprise weekend," it's revealed (four videos in) that the real reason for the mini vacation was to help Grav3yardGirl's channel. Once the actual premise of the video series kicked in, fans got to see a side of Bunny that hasn't been revealed...like ever. Additionally, we got to see some ghost hunting adventures, which is always a fun time.

5. Switching lives with Trisha Paytas

Trisha Paytas, much like Jeffree Star, is a little controversial. While this video didn't dive as deep as the Jeffree Star video, it was a stepping stone of what's to come. The dynamic between Trisha and Shane is so refreshing, and you can tell the two have been friends for a very long time. Switching lives with the Mukbang queen couldn't have been easy, but Shane did perfectly...with a glitter Starbucks cup in hand.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

Itā€™s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we donā€™t get our way. Itā€™s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean theyā€™re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
