Sometimes, all you need is a nice, long drive to clear your mind. Given that I grew up in Tallahassee, I feel like I have an advantage to knowing the best roads to waste gas on. My favorite color in the world is green (who doesn't love green), so pretty roads make me happier than most things. If you find yourself needing to speed away from campus, I would highly recommend taking a look at some of the prettiest roads in Tallahassee.
Miller Landing Road
This road is about 20 minutes from campus, and it is a canopy oasis. The long, two-lane road spits you out at a boat landing, and the sunset from here is breathtaking.
Miccosukee Road
A mere 15 minute drive away, the way the sunlight pokes through the trees on this road can brighten any day. PLUS, there is a huge green field on the side of this road you can lay in if you're really feeling the weather.
Maclay Road
In high school, my best friend lived on this road and I loved going over there because the route was so scenic. The greenery siding the roads is captivating.
Live Oak Plantation Road
The houses on this road are some of the prettiest in Tallahassee, and the huge Oak trees lining the sides are iconic.
Buck Lake Road
This hilly road leads you to the highest point in Tallahassee. Although it's a bit farther away from campus, the view is worth it.
Meridian Road
One of the oldest in Tallahassee, this road runs for miles, lined by trees galore.
Betton Road
Serving as a cut-through and awesome neighborhood, this road feels homey and is only a few minutes away from campus.
