11 of The Best Rides I've Ridden At Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventures That You Should Try

Of all the theme parks I've ever visited, Universal was the best with the most awesome rides.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

I went to Universal Studios for the first time last week, and those was probably the best days of my life. I didn't get on all the rides, but I loved most of the ones I've ridden. Here are the 11 rides I ranked at the very top!

1. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

Harry Potter and the Forbidden JourneyInstagram/harrypotterandtheforbiddenjourney/kay_e_e

Being the Harry Potter fanatic I am, it's no surprise that this was my favorite ride. The ride had great visuals of Harry and Ron on a broom, dodging through dementors and falling rocks. It really felt like you were on a broom with Harry, and it was an amazing feeling, Of course, I admit, I felt a bit scared when the ride rotated the me a lot, but it added to the thrill of the ride. Overall, the experience was the best, and it's my favorite ride of all at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures. I loved the visuals a lot, so I went on it twice!

2. Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringott

This "Harry Potter" vault adventure was also as good as the Forbidden Journey one, but it was slightly different than that one. The Gringotts ride is a real roller coaster. It also had great visuals, and it was very thrilling. The roller coaster, in my opinion, was not as scary as the Forbidden Journey ride, but it was great nonetheless. It really did feel like I was zooming to the vaults just like in the movies. While I loved it a lot and wanted to go on it again, the line was really long, and there just wasn't enough time.

3. The Revenge of The Mummy

Revenge of the Mummy Instagram/revengeofthemummyride/xj220rl

The Revenge of the Mummy was probably the scariest ride I've ever ridden. Still, it is one of my most favorite rides as the scary atmosphere made it exciting and very thrilling. The ride itself is a roller coaster which turns and drops you a lot, but it's very safe. The roller coaster took you through a dark tunnel, which also added to the scare and thrill factor of it. The creepy music and decor itself scared me to death while I was waiting in line. I wanted to go for a second ride, but there wasn't enough time.

4. Doctor Doom's Fear Fall

Doctor Doom's Fear Fall was amazing partly because of the height and because of the view it gave me of Universal. It was a bit scary at first, but I enjoyed it because I'm getting over my fear of heights. The ride seemed very daunting at first, but I overcame it and yelled with joy and excitement.

5. Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

Amazing adventures of Spider-ManInstagram/amazingadventuresofspidermanride/coheteboy

I'm a great fan of Spider-Man and Marvel, so I enjoyed this virtual ride a lot. It showed how Spider-Man defeated his enemies on the "most dangerous night of his life." The ride feels so real with 3D and 4D effects. In this ride, the car moves to zip you through the city and help "defeat" the bad guys, so it feels like a roller-coaster when it really wasn't.

6. Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon

The ride was pretty funny and had great special effects. Unlike the Spider-Man ride, this ride didn't have cars that moved freely. The seats moved but not like in a roller coaster. This is also a virtual ride, so it feels like you really are zipping through New York. But you stay in one place while the chair slightly moves to give you the feel. I loved it so much that I went on it four times.

7. Jurassic Park The Ride: River Adventure

The start of the ride is pleasant and much like a simple boat ride through a stream with fake dinosaurs as decor. It was very besutiful, and I enjoyed it a lot. Nearing the end of the ride comes the big drop. The little boat takes you up a building, where it drops you quite a feet down. But it's very enjoyable! Sure everyone was screaming for their lives, but they laughed it off in the end. Everyone seemed to love it. My family loved it quite a lot, too.

8. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

The ride was much like the Jimmy Fallon one and was very funny too. I love Gru and his minions, so my parents and I enjoyed it very much.

9. Men In Black: Alien Attack

I've never really watched Men In Black, but the ride was pretty great. It's not a roller coaster or a virtual ride but a fun ride where you get to "shoot" aliens with fake guns. It spins you once in a while but not enough to be concerning. The car goes very slow, so it gave time for us to look around the set and admire how the "city" was set up.

10. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges

The boat sailed through a stream where you get drenched in water when the boat slightly falls through the water at the curves of the stream. Along the way, little sprinklers and "ships" spew water on you just in case you aren't fully wet yet. It's a good way to cool off from the sun all day.

11. Hogwart's Express

Not top on my list because it isn't really a thrill ride but it was great nonetheless. The ride was simple as it was a convenient way of travelling from one park to another. The train looked very real, inside and out. Once inside the compartments, the windows show a video of the how it might look outside if you were really on the Hogwart's Express.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
