10 Rain Boots Worth Investing In If Your Campus Is Constantly Soaked

In This Article:

If you're a student living on-campus at a relatively large college, you probably understand the struggle of having to walk on campus in the rain. And if you're a Miami student (like me), then you're especially familiar with flooding, and you probably are skilled at avoiding large rain puddles on campus! Even though spring isn't for another year, fall is approaching and it can still bring rainy weather on certain occasions. It's no surprise that a lot of students are looking to buy a pair of waterproof rain boots to wear during the fall. But with so many different rain boots to choose from, it can be hard to decide which ones are best for you. However, there are several that stand out from the rest. Here are 10 rain boots that you should consider investing in if you want to avoid getting soaked on campus.

1. Hunter Rain Boots

Hunter rain boots are one of the best rain boots to buy if you're looking for ones that are extremely durable! If you walk on any college campus, you will likely see several students wearing these. Hunter boots are made in Scotland, so they are extremely durable and waterproof! I actually own a pair myself, and I've never had water get inside them! They're also very stylish and come in many different designs, colors, and sizes. The only downside is that they can be pricey, typically upwards of $100. But if you buy them online at sites like Amazon and check when products are on sale, you can find them at more reasonable prices.

2. UGG Women Rain Boots

UGG is not only known for selling boots that are warm, but they also sell really great rain boots! If you want rain boots that are less expensive than Hunter boots but still high-quality, then you should definitely consider getting a pair of UGG rain boots! They are very comfortable to wear, and there are tons of cute styles to choose from! They're also just as waterproof and durable as Hunter boots. So if you don't like Hunter rain boots or you're intimidated by the price tag, you should consider getting a pair from UGG instead.

3. Sloggers Rain Boots

If you're looking for rain boots that are both stylish and waterproof, you should consider getting Sloggers rain boots. They're made for gardening, which means they hold up against rain and mud! They also come in many different styles and are lightweight, which makes them ideal for walking on campus.

4. DKSUKO Rain Boots

This is another rain boot to consider getting if you want something that is not only waterproof but also comfortable enough to walk around campus in. The problem with most rain boots is that they can be heavyweight, which can make it hard to walk comfortably for long distances (especially when you're late for class). DKSUKO rain boots not only hold up well on a rainy day, but they are also very comfortable to walk in and they're very lightweight! The only downside to them is that, unlike Hunter boots, they're not made for people with bigger calves, but if your calves are on the smaller side then these should fit perfectly.

5. Crocs Rain Boots

In addition to selling comfortable sandals, Crocs also sells comfortable waterproof rain boots! Their rain boots are not only waterproof, but they also include comfortable padding around the inside. They also come in different lengths and sizes for anyone who wants either a short or a long pair of rain boots.

6. West Blvd Rain Boots

If you're looking for rain boots that are not only waterproof but are also made for wider calves, you should consider buying a pair of West Blvd rain boots. They are durable enough to last during a rainstorm without being super pricey; prices usually stay below $40. They're also very cute, and there are multiple styles to choose from, perfect for any personality!

7. Chelsea J Crew Rain Boots

This is another type of waterproof rain boot that's perfect to wear on campus! They are very lightweight and comfortable compared to other types of boots. They're also easy to slip on, which makes them a great choice if you find yourself rushing in the morning to get ready for class.

8. Sam Edelman Rain Boots

These rain boots are one of the more fashionable types you can find that still work well and are waterproof. However, they're not exactly marketed towards women with larger calves and are narrower than other types. So, if you have bigger calves, you should probably consider getting a different type of rain boot.

9. Western Chief Woman's Printed Tall Rain Boots

These rain boots are great for keeping your feet dry. They're also very comfortable and include an adjustable strap on the side to adjust for calf size, which is not something that every pair of rain boots offers.

10. Sperry Women's Saltwater Rain Boots

Finally, if you're looking for rain boots that are durable, this is another type of rain boot that you should consider getting. These boots are similar to Hunter rain boots because they're made specifically for harsh weather. They can be worn on rainy days and also in the winter! They're very well insulated, so they're perfect for the snow.

So instead of worrying about getting your feet wet on your way to class this year, you should consider buying a pair of one of these rain boots! Finding the right rain boots that are both durable and waterproof can be stressful, especially since some of them can be extremely expensive. However, if you check out one of the ones on this list, you won't need to worry about wasting money on a pair of boots that will do little to keep you from getting soaked on campus.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
