The 5 Greatest Quarterbacks In NFL History, And Yes, I Will Fight You On This

In This Article:

This debate has been going on since at least I was born. Brees or Brady? Montana or Marino? Manning or Favre? With the NFL quarterback spectrum always improving, let's explore through the best quarterbacks in NFL history.I know the best QBs in the history of the NFL and now you're about to find out too.

Brett Favre

Brett Favre has always been one of those QBs that everyone knows of, but not everyone likes him. No matter what your personal opinion towards him may be, it is foolish to say that he isn't a top five QB. Just until recently, Favre owned many records, and he has always been a very good player. He led the Packers to a Superbowl and even as a 40-year-old, he was able to lead the Vikings to the NFC Championship. On top of that, he's an 11-time Pro Bowler, All NFL player, AP offensive player of the year, three-time MVP, and much more. Favre's impressive pedigree leads him to the fifth greatest QB of all time.

Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is a boy scout. There's no other way to describe him. Everyone raves on about how amazing he is, how he's such a good person and so much more. Not only is he a good person, but he was also a great NFL QB. Manning is a two-time Superbowl Champion, 14-time pro bowler, five-time NFL MVP, and was the all-time passing yards leader until about a month ago. His personal allocates are probably going to be better than any other individual in the league, despite the fact that there are still QBs who have been better just showing how strong these other players are.

Joe Montana

I'm going to be honest; I've never seen Joe Montana play a game. I have seen highlights of him, but just never a game. It's not because I didn't want to; it's because I wasn't alive then. Despite never seeing a full game of Montana, I've heard people older than me rave on how magnificent he was and how he was the main reason the 49ers had their glory days. Joe Montana proved through winning four Superbowls that he deserves his name to be in the list of all-time greats.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady is the Michael Jordan of football; he was the best, but now it's LeBron. Brady has everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything. He has always had a good defense, he has the best coach in the league, he always has good receivers, and he has five Superbowl rings. Many peg him as the G.O.A.T., but I don't agree. Brady is fantastic, but he's always had help, which is one of the reasons he doesn't have as many passing yards as many other QBs. Superbowl rings speak for themselves, though, and that's why Brady is number two.

Drew Brees

Are you shocked? Don't be; Drew Brees is the most underrated player in NFL history, and he is the best QB of all time! Drew Brees leads all NFL players through history on most passing yards and completion percentage. I'm not even kidding when I say this: Drew Brees hold basically every single record in the NFL for passing. He has five 5,000 yard passing seasons, while the next QB in line only has (drumroll please) one. A whole one.

While Brees only has one Superbowl and no MVPs, and the fact is he's never had a defense AND he's made seventh-round picks into star receivers (Marques Colston being on of them) makes up for the reason he doesn't have as many Superbowls. Drew Brees has been robbed of THREE MVP's. Brees' stats speak for themselves: Drew Brees is the G.O.A.T no questions asked.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
