Last week I did the best quarterback in each NFC division, so to match that off, I'm going to do the best quarterback in each AFC Division. Most of these are pretty obvious but there may be some surprises. Let's start below.
AFC North: Baker Mayfield
This one is the only surprise I promise... well maybe. I know you guys think I'm crazy; how is Big Ben not better than Baker Mayfield? Well, to start off I'm only looking at current skill and Mayfield has much more talent than Ben. Ben overthrows balls, is cocky, and relies on big receivers and running backs (Both who are gone now), while Baker makes players around him good and will most likely be able to lead the Browns to a playoff spot next year. Baker is the best quarterback in the division by a mile.
AFC East: Tom Brady
I don't really need to explain this one. Tom Brady is one of the greatest QB's of all time and the other QB's in his division are Josh Allen, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Sam Darnold. If you need more of an explanation please don't watch football.
AFC West: Philip Rivers
Another surprise? Kind of... While Patrick Mahomes is arguably the more talented QB, Philip Rivers is the better QB. He's more experienced, a leader, a fantastic thrower, and just everything you want from your QB. A few years down the line Mahomes will obviously be the better player, but right now it's Philip Rivers.
AFC South: Andrew Luck
This one was a close call between Deshaun Watson and Luck. While Watson has performed at a very high level, Luck has been a better QB. Luck is more talented, though not by much. Luck has the ability to lead his team to the Superbowl with his big arm and leadership. Luck is already a star, and is the best QB in his division.
