Poetry has been taken the world by storm. No longer is it some boring and complicated work by a dead person. With great books such as "Milk and Honey", and "The Princess Saves Herself in This One", it brings poetry to a whole new level. One that is relatable, beautiful, entertaining, and written in different styles. Here are some of the best poems from talented poets. They will surely inspire you to write some of your own.

Milk and Honey

1. Greatest Tragedy.

we are all born
so beautiful

the greatest tragedy is
being convinced we are not

2. Writing.

the thing about writing is
i can't tell if it's healing
or destroying me

3. Write the book

my heart woke me up crying last night
how can i help I begged
my heart said
write the book

4. In a world.

in a world of smoke and ashes
you are milk and honey.

The Princess Saves Herself in This One

1. Silence.

Silence has always been my loudest scream.

2. Like a book.

He opened me up like a book & poured the poetry back into me.

- my personal pen and paper

Gemma Troy Poetry

1. Words.

Words can plant gardens or burn whole forests down.

2. Tell me.

Tell me you love me in a whisper so it travels for eternity on the wind.

3. Read my skin.

You read my skin like braille while I write poetry about your hands.

Salt

1. Speak.

Can we speak in flowers? It will be easier for me to understand.

I Wrote This For You

1. Best time.

The best time to reflect is when you like the person looking back.

2. I rather.

I rather live with the answer than die with the question.

3. Picking flowers.

To you, it was just picking flowers. To them, it was a massacre.

4. Fine.

Fine. Maybe I’m the puzzle. But you’re still the pieces.

The Sun and Her Flowers

1. Dying.

We have been dying since we got here and forgot to enjoy the view.

2. Water.

I am made of water, of course I am emotional.

3. Together.

Together, we are an endless conversation.

The Chaos of Longing

1. Kiss you.

i’ve learned to kiss you with my eyes. there are times you do not see me as i kiss you with a quiet desperation that you would never understand.

2. Don't shrink.

don’t shrink your truth to make it fit nice and neatly in others as if it’s origami. unfold and free yourself.

And there you have it! Some of the best and most beautiful poetry by top poets! I would highly recommend any of their books (or account if they don't have a book out yet). Sometimes all you need to do is stop, get a cup of coffee or tea, and read. It's calming, and a great way to spend a rainy, winter day. So go to your local bookstore, Barnes and Noble, or Amazon.com, and buy any one of these books.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
