Best Places To Visit While In NYC

Here is a guide to places you should visit if you take a trip to NYC! I have visited all of these places and can guarantee that this list will make for an unforgettable trip!

1. Broadway Shows

This is a MUST-DO while in NYC! If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to have time in this beautiful city, the theatre district is a necessary stop. No matter if you are a regular theatre-goer or do not frequent the theatre, this is a perfect time to experience all the talent, time, and people needed to put together an outstanding production.

2. Shopping

Yes, NYC is a known fashion hub and therefore there is a plethora of awesome places to shop! Tiffany & Co., Saks Fifth Avenue, and so many other are there for you to explore and perhaps even laugh at the insane prices!

3. Rockefeller Plaza

This is by far one of the best places to visit! Going to the top of the Rock and looking out over the city is so incredible. The view is unlike any other site. Words cannot do justice, so I hope you have the chance to make this stop.

4. Central Park

Another beautiful, scenic place to visit is Central Park. The park is a relaxing place to stroll around if you want to stray from the packed city streets. You can also take specific tours, for example, a tour which makes stops where movie scenes were filmed in the park. This is fun activity for people of all ages!

5. Radio City Music Hall

Getting a tour of the immense building that is rich with history is marvelous. One of the coolest places to be in NYC is in this building, looking into the auditorium, knowing all of the awesome events that have taken place on that stage!

6. Statue of Liberty

Another stop which definitely should be on your to-see list. Americans will swell up with pride to see this statue in person. Standing for freedom and enlightenment, this statue is a landmark which every American should have the privilege to visit.

7. The 9/11 Memorial

This is a solemn, difficult visit, but worth the stop. You walk through the memorial and see the faces, news articles, and charred remains of the tragedy that happened on 9/11. Thousands of people died on that day who deserve to be remembered.

8. The Drama Book Store

This is one of the most unique places I have ever visited! Walking around and seeing all those scripts and plays in one place is a theatre lover's dream! It is a fantastic spot to stop in when walking the streets of NYC.

9. The Disney Store

Nothing will make you feel happier or embrace your child more than the Disney Store! With two stories to it, this store pulls you into the world of Disney character and gives you joy no other store can!

10. Bouchon Bakery

If you are looking for a sweet treat while in NYC, especially if you are on the hunt for macaroons, this is the best bakery around! Stop in and satisfy you sweet tooth!

My trip to NYC was an amazing experience. These were my favorite places I got to see and I would go back to visit these if I ever get the chance to again.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
