Thanks to its location, culture, and blessed climate, Mexico receives millions of tourists each year. In 2019 alone, the country received 45 million foreign tourists, up from 40 million the year before.

Mexico has also become a top foreign travel destination for Americans, who are flocking to the country to take advantage of the pleasant temperatures, affordable prices, and more relaxed approach to life.

Have you never been to Mexico? No worries at all. This article will highlight some of the best places to visit in Mexico, especially for first-time travelers.

This tiny and idyllic Caribbean island is located off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, about 40 miles from Cancun. Despite the short distance, Holbox Island feels like a world apart. The island is an alternative to places such as Playa del Carmen or even Tulum, which have both become very popular destinations for sunseekers traveling to Yucatan.

Among the things to do in Holbox, it is worth mentioning the delectable local cuisine which also includes a Mexican version of ceviches - well worth trying - and spotting cool street art around Holbox Town. Adventure-seekers can swim with whale sharks, kayak around the mangroves and Instagrammers can pose by the Holbox letters.

All and all, Isla Holbox is a place to take things easy and relax.

2. Mexico City

At first, the idea of visiting a large city such as Mexico's capital may feel overwhelming. But visiting Mexico City is nothing like that. Even with a population of over 16 million, the city is easy to visit and, surprisingly walkable around the historic district.

3. Los Cabos

Los Cabos is one of the best places to visit in Mexico for those looking for sea, sun and scenery. Home to several golf clubs, ultra-luxury resorts and gold sandy beaches, this is where A-list Hollywood celebrities like George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston can often be spotted.

The main places to visit are Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, but the whole Los Cabos area has plenty to offer.

Topping the list of activities would be whale watching, snorkeling and swimming with whale sharks. However, most people visit the area to relax and indulge in a luxury resort stay, sipping cocktails on the poolside or enjoying different spa treatments.

4. Puerto Vallarta

Regarded as one of the best beach destinations in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta also has plenty to offer. The best start to the trip is going for a walk around Viejo Vallarta, with its vintage and colorful houses, great restaurants and art galleries. The Malecon promenade is not far and, in addition to the beautiful sea views, there are several interesting sculptures that add to the artsy spirit of Puerto Vallarta.

Adventure-seekers can go waterfall-hiking, ziplining, or even skydiving. If saltwater is more appealing, there are plenty of beaches to sunbathe, and boat tours to Los Arcos and even tours to the secret beach at Isla Marieta.

Puerto Vallarta is also a serious foodie destination, with several good restaurants serving delectable Mexican food, seafood and good vegetarian dishes. Would-be chefs can also take cooking classes in a professional and fun environment.

Travelers willing to experience some real-life Cancun, can head to Cancun Town, about 3 miles from Zona Hotelera, where the beaches and the resorts are located. Cancun Town has some good restaurants, small markets and has changed a lot in the past decade.

Those who wish to stay in a quieter place can choose other destinations in the Riviera Maya, such as Playa del Carmen, which has become a favorite among digital nomads, Tulum, with its seaside historic Mayan ruins and incredible hotels and Bali-like ecolodges. To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
