The Best Places to Eat Outside in Chapel Hill

One of the best parts about attending the University of North Carolina is being in the heart of the college town of Chapel Hill, where busy Franklin Street offers numerous places to shop and eat. Yesterday -- the morning after the clocks sprung forward and the first weekend of spring vacation -- my friends and I were able to enjoy eating lunch outside in 70-degree weather for the first time in months. As Chapel Hill continues to warm up, here are some ideas of the best places to eat outside near Franklin Street.

Tru Deli + Wine

There is a great outdoor seating area on the second floor of Tru Deli, where you can grab a table or sit at the couches after ordering a sandwich or salad downstairs.

2. Merritt's Store & Grill

Come to Merritt's for great lunch food, like sandwiches and burgers (hint: it's famous for it's BLT's).

3. Old Chicago

Great pizza and outdoor seating, what else do you need to know?

4. Los Potrillos

A restaurant with great Mexican food to get you in the summer spirit, "Los Pos" will offer a lively atmosphere whether you are there for lunch, or grabbing dinner before a night out with friends.

5. Carolina Brewery and Grill

Located right on Franklin Street, Carolina Brewery is known for its sandwiches and beer. Right across from McCorkle Place, it's a great place to eat a quick lunch in between classes.

Spring is one of the prettiest seasons in Chapel Hill, so spend as much time outside as possible. Enjoy!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
