The Best Places to Eat Alone in Milledgeville

Eating by myself is kind of one of my biggest fears, but college has forced me to adapt. It's hard to find some friends to eat with when everyone has different class schedules and commitments. So sometimes you just have to grab a quick meal in between classes by yourself! Through extensive research (eating), I have found the best and least shameful places to eat by yourself.

***DISCLAIMER: If you're feeling confident you can eat by yourself anywhere, I'm just a scaredy cat!

1. The Max

The Georgia College cafeteria. You can see people eating alone here all the time, so you're in good company.

2. Blackbird Coffee

This isn't a full blown restaurant, but if you have some time to kill in between classes, you can come here and grab a bagel and a latte. It's a cute, quiet place to study and relax.

3. Georgia Bob's BBQ

There's typically not too many people inside at once, and it's pretty quiet and chill. It could be a quiet place to go over some notes while you're eating. Also the staff is super friendly!

4. The Subway or Chick-fil-A located next to the Max

It's all Georgia College students that eat there, and it's located right on central campus. Added plus—you can pay with your bobcat card!

5. Old Tyme Hot Dogs

It's a cute little restaurant with hot dogs, nachos, root beer floats, and everything else you could think of. You can just sit down at one of the bar stools facing the window and have a nice quiet meal. The staff is always very nice and friendly.

I haven't completely conquered my fear of eating by myself, but I'm getting there. We have some good options here in Milledgeville.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
