As school is back in full swing, the weekends are now a luxury to look forward to. The best part of those weekends? BRUNCH. While I know being on a college budget means spending money isn’t what we love to do, these brunch places make the sacrifice worth every penny. I am a firm believer in not taking brunch lightly, so this my friends is your list of some of the best brunch places in Indianapolis. Not all of these amazing places are included because let’s be honest, every brunch is a great brunch, so here are the highlights. Thank you and happy brunching!

Good Morning Mama’s

Good Morning Mama's is an Indy staple and Butler favorite. They have afforable food and that is unique and delicous. Everything from java infused french toast to breakfast burritos - if you are looking for great portions, prices and flavor for your taste buds, look no future than Mama's. Come as you are, but be prepared to wait, this hot brunch spot is cozy and a go to for Indy residents.

Patachou

Patachou is one of the best brunches in Indy. This is a total, "take your parents to when they visit" spot, because not only will they love it, but they will also probably pay for you. Patachou is like the hipster niece of Good Morning Mama's, it's brunch is all natural ingredients that will make you taste buds rejoice. The laid back vibe and serve yourself coffee bar are the reason everyone love heading here on the weekends. Try the broken yolk breakfast sandwiches and you won't be disappointed.

Dancing Donut

Want brunch, but nothing too heavy or where you have to wait years to be seated? Then Dancing Donut is the place for you. With donuts like the "Jane Dough", the "Kevin Bacon" and so many other fun named sweet treats, what's not to like? They even offer gluten free options, for those with dietary restrictions. Get a cup of joe, milk, or a delicious latte to enjoy your donut the right way. This is the perfect spot to head to with your roomies or friends for a pick me up, that also offers a great envirnment for those insta pics you've been wanting to take.

Milktooth

Milktooth is the perfect place for the hipster in your heart. They have such unique entrees that will make you feel adventurous even here in Indy. Try their sourdough pearl sugar waffle, or their cranberry walnut &TP caerphilly cheddar grilled cheese. Milktooth even has sweet side to satisfy that sweet tooth and espresso drinks for those coffee lovers out there. This spot is a must!

Yolk

Yolk is provides a staple breakfast with an extensive menu so there is something for everyone! Pictured here is my personal favorite - the South Beach, which is served in half of a pinneapple! It is pretty amazing and while it is healthy, it has all the flavors you could ever want and will fill you up! This brunch place has locations in Chicago, Dallas, Fort Worth, as well as Indy. So come for the brunch and stay for the bright environment that is the perfect way to start the day!

Longs Bakery

Similar to Dancing Donut - this donut stop has made donut list around the country. This is the best bang for your buck and let's you get a dozen donuts for less then eight bucks. If you want to surprise your roomies with a great weekend pick-me-up, head to longs and bring them back some of the best donuts. They are fresh, delicious and taste homemade. If that doesn't make you want to head to Long's, I don't know what will!

So, this weekend head to one of these amazing brunch places and I hope you enjoy it. Truly, no matter what your breakfast food of choice is you can't go wrong. Whoever said breakfast is the most important meal of the day, certaintly knew a thing or two about brunch!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
