Eventually, you’re going to have to put down your natty light and peach Taaka and leave your local frat house. You’ll have to drop your Bud Light and vodka sour and leave bluebird behind. You can leave tequila shots and margaritas at 3 Amigos for now. When the time comes, you might have to step up your knowledge of what drinks to get and when. A beer is always great and a cranberry and vodka works, but these outdoor drinks will truly enhance your experience, making you one with your environment. It’s taken some traveling, looking around, and research to bring to you the very best.

1. EVERY SKIER'S GO TO:

The Bloody Mary

This breakfast/lunch staple is a popular “hair of the dog” to cure hangovers. After rolling out of bed late with a hangover after a late night and long days of skiing, the Bloody Mary is the perfect remedy. An odd cocktail made of tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, and other spices topped with olives or even bacon can kick you back into gear.

2. MUST SERVE IN A COPPER MUG:

Moscow Mule

How can a drink in a copper mug not be served outside? It makes your outfit look cuter and matches the aesthetic of fire, snow, trees, sun or really anything outdoorsy. Vodka, Lime, and ginger beer have never tasted so amazing with copper keeping this drink cold.

3. MAKE A BATCH FOR THE BEACH:

Cucumber Gimlet

Yes, it is possible to get tired of the pina coladas, the strawberry daiquiris and the other 100 spring break drinks that are so sweet that they are nauseating. That’s where this drink comes in. Made with cucumber, gin, lime, rosemary, and simple syrup, this drink is the definition of a refreshing beach drink.

4. ARE YOU IN THE WOODS?

Busted Knuckle

Made by Quaff On! Brewery in Brown County, Indiana and served at their multiple Big Woods locations including Bloomington and Nashville, Busted Knuckle has been called a smooth porter, but has a category of its own with its rich complex flavor. Dark and delicious, this beer is the ultimate drink for the cabin in the woods

5. TAKE IT TO THE PORCH:

The cocktail that must not be named

It’s cold outside. You’re cuddling near a fire. You’re too old to drink hot cocoa. You forgot to eat dessert, so you drink this. Vodka, Irish Cream, and Kahlua will remind you of Baileys and coffee, but much better.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
