Last week I wrote about the best teams in each AFC division, so this week I decided to write about each NFC Division. Free agency affected each team differently, yet it seems that many of the top teams remain that way. Let's look who I believe is the best team in each NFC Division.
NFC North: Chicago Bears
Every team in the NFC North made vast improvements this offseason, but the Chicago Bears did enough to remain the top team currently in the division. Still having Khalil Mack on the team makes them a feared defense already, but adding Haha Clinton Dix to their secondary was a huge improvement. The Bears still need to get over the mental aspect of last year's loss, but I can see them repeat as division champs if all goes in their favor this upcoming season.
NFC West: Los Angeles Rams
The Rams lost quite a few players this offseason, but no one else in their division did enough to catch up to the former NFC Champions. Yes, the Rams did not deserve to play in the Superbowl, but that's a different conversation. Despite numerous losses, the Rams still were able to add Eric Weddle, and retain Dante Fowler Jr. The Rams are most likely going to remain Division Champs with Sean McVay at head, and are a potential Superbowl contender.
NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles
This is the first and only change from last year. The Cowboys, while good, did not do much this offseason. The Eagles on the other-hand got a starting running back, players back from injury, and a new speedy deep threat. They're only one year away from winning the Superbowl, and I wouldn't put it past them to go all in again this year. The Eagles are meant to last and with Carson Wentz back, they should go deep into the post-season.
NFC South: New Orleans Saints
The Saints lost a couple key players in the offseason, but they were also able to lure in big time players such as Jared Cook. The other teams in the NFC South did not do much to improve their teams, and take down the Saints. While the mental aspect of last year's loss is going to hurt, don't be surprised if the Saints are Superbowl champs next year. With Brees, Kamara, Thomas, and a dangerous O-line, the Saints are still one of the top teams in the league.
