Let's face it, makeup is expensive.
There are so many different brands of makeup filled with different ingredients, different colors and, different results, it's hard to choose. Sometimes your favorite product is way too much for your budget so with makeup duplicates, you can get the next best thing without breaking the bank. There are so many websites and beauty blogs that give you great products for makeup dupes that really work and look the same. I know I have used many makeup dupes that have worked the exact same if not better and saved me so much money. It's hard to know which makeup is worth your money and which drugstore makeup can actually be pretty much the same. Here are the best dupes out there that won't make you and your bank account cry.
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz & NYX Micro Brow Pencil
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz is the perfect brow pencil. It's easy to control and build up and doesn't come on too thick so your brows still look natural, the only problem is Brow Wiz is $21. You can get almost the same thing if not better with the NYX Micro Brow Pencil, it has the same retractable fine tip side and spooley side to blend; the best part is that it's only $10.
2. NARS Orgasm Blush & Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
NARS Orgasm Blush is probably the most popular blush of the past decade, it looks great on most skin tones and lasts. Although, NARS Orgasm Blush is $30. Milani Baked Blush has the same pink hue that blends well with most skin tones and has the same gold under hue, it is $8.
3. Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge & Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
OK, so personally I really don't understand the appeal with expensive makeup sponges. I've used a $2 one from T.J. Maxx and a $25 one from Sephora and have gotten the same result when applying face makeup. Anyways, the Beautyblender Original Makeup Sponge is priced at $20, while the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is priced at only $6. They both are almost identical just a little different in shape, really the only thing Beautyblender has on Real Techniques is maybe that they were the first to start beauty blenders. I use the Real Techniques beauty blender every day and it works perfectly, so save your money sister!
4. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner & NYX Epic Ink Liner
Both of this liquid eyeliners save lives every day, especially in the summer. THEY DO NOT MELT. I've used both and I've never had an issue with them smudging, fading, or melting off in the heat or with water. Both have a satiny finish and are easy to control when you apply. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is $20, while the NYX Epic Ink Liner is $8. Both are waterproof and won't fail you, but NYX's version is $12 cheaper.
5. YSL Touche Éclat Face Highlighter Pen & Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer
Two fabulous highlighting pens that brighten, conceal, and highlight to make sure your complexion is radiant. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Face Highlighter Pen is $38, and Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer is $7.99, which is a HUGE price difference. I think the only difference is that the YSL has the iconic gold pen and is the OG with the illuminating trend.
6. Urban Decay Naked Palette & Maybelline The Nudes Palette
The Urban Decay Naked Palette has been a makeup junkies favorite forever, it's filled with 12 natural bronzed colors that work well with any complexion, but it is $54. While Maybelline The Nudes Palette comes with 13 shades, one more than UD's, that are shockingly similar to the original favorite from Urban Decay, and it is only $11.99.
7. Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation & L'Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup
Both foundations have a silky finish that doesn't come on cakey and gives your face a lightweight finish with just enough coverage. The Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation is $64, while the L'Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup is $12.95. This price difference is insane so I would definitely give the L'Oréal foundation a try before you fork out $64.
8. Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer & Rimmel London Natural Bronzer
This is my favorite dupe. I spent way too long buying the Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer for $29, until I found the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer is almost identical and only $4.29. Both give you a natural looking tan glow and allow you to build up the bronzer easily so you don't become Oompa Loompa like.
Happy makeup shopping!
