For all the Instagrammers who once wished their feed was as aesthetic and attractively pleasant as others out there, this list is for you.

These 5 apps will not only upgrade your picture game, but when taken a few minutes learning how to work with them it will make the editing a lot easier, and faster.

1. VSCO

This app is a must-have for a beautifully aesthetic feed. It lets you chose within numerous effect packages, in which a lot of them are free, and also allows you to make basic edits to your pictures (such as lighting and different picture cuts).

If you don't like to spend much time on planning posts, just throw a picture here and it'll only take a few minutes for you to step up your picture game. A big plus for those striking to have a monochromatic feed is that the app saves to your edits to its journal, so can keep an eye on them and see if they correlate.

2. Snapseed

My favorite app for editing pictures. The tool section gives you a lot of freedom to play with the light, shadow, and other areas, but something really special about this app is the brush and selective tools. Both of them give you the freedom to edit lighting, color and other aspects in only certain parts of the picture rather than the whole.

3. UNUM

This is your ultimate secret for an upgrade to your Instagram game. The main idea is that it lets you reschedule your Instagram posts and gives you a look at how your feed will be. There are other interesting tools in there that lets you track your follows, see the average likes and comments, and the best times to post.

4. Lightroom

An alternative to Snapseed, this one is also a photo editing app that gives you a lot of freedom to play around the tools in the picture. Usually a favorite for Photoshop fans.

5. Facetune

This app has some useful tools for some quick picture touches. Don't go by the rules in this one and use to tools to your advantage, for example, makeup tools for changing colors in specific parts of your photo, or the retouch tool to let the background unfocused.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

mu bucket list

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
