NYC is getting colder by the minute, but we found the best hot cocoa to keep you feeling warm and fuzzy. This winter, go loco with hot cocoa at any of these spots!
1. Fine & Raw
Their mission is to "to save the world through silliness and chocolate," and it's located in a chocolate factory. If you're hanging in Brooklyn on a cold day, make this one a priority.
2. The Chocolate Room
It's a real place with real chocolate. If you like it dark, The Chocolate Room has a variety to offer. There are two little shops located in Brooklyn (hoping another spot opens in Manhattan soon!). For now, put this on your thing-to-do-on-a-rainy-day list.3. City Bakery
If you haven't heard about City Bakery, you're probably new to NYC or you hate anything chocolate-related. It's thick, creamy, with a huge chunk of marshmallow that melts in the cup. If your family is town to visit and tour, take them to the ultimate spot for hot chocolate in New York.
4. Mariebelle
Order the Mild Aztec for the thickest hot chocolate you'll taste. Powder includes cinnamon, chipotle chile, and ginger - a little more savory than the ordinary hot cocoa. Also, it's the cutest cafe! Perfect place to get some work done and the ultimate spot to be surrounded by chocolate sweets all day long.
5. Max Brenner
They'll ask what kind of chocolate you want in your hot cocoa - milk, dark, or super dark. You can also order the OREO hot chocolate, a crepe on the side, or fruit that you can DIP in the hot chocolate (basically, your own little chocolate fondue). Make sure to ask for extra whip!
6. Vosges Haut-Chocolat
Get a little fancier with white hot chocolate! They get creative with their dessert flavors, so pair up any of those cute truffles with your hot cocoa to make it the perfect mid-day snack.
7. Waffles & Dinges
The best thing about Wafles & Dinges is that you can find a pop-up everywhere in the city. It's the best on-the-go drink for the winter season, and they put those extra chocolate sprinkles on the whip if you ask!
8. Jacques Torres
9. Momofuku
Momofuku is known for soft serve and truffles, but they make hot cocoa from their special fudge sauce and make it super classy. The whole drink tastes like a giant beautiful s'more.
10. Nutella Bar
My favorite because I'm obsessed with nutella, especially when the drink tastes like it too. Pair it with a warm toast and dive into chocolate goodness that will satisfy your sweet tooth for days.
