If you don't already have big plans for the notorious Halloweekend, or if you need something to bring you back in the morning (but not too bright or loud), I present my official over-qualified movie buff list of the best Halloween movies for you to watch.

1. Halloweentown

If you don't love this movie, you aren't human. Old school disney, some quaint magic, and lots of spookiness, this movie has it all. I guess you could even watch the sequels, but they aren't nearly as good.

2. Hocus Pocus

This may be my favorite Halloween movie of all time. Who doesn't love some big-time celebs in a lame Halloween plot? You can even sing along so this is definitely a winner.

3. The Haunted Mansion

I thought this movie was scary when I was a kid, but then I actually watched it and realized how hilarious Eddie Murphy is. CGI technology will honestly never top this movie.

4. It (2017)

So if you haven't already seen the movie, you've definitely seen the memes, so you might as well fill yourself in. This movie might shake you to your core, but in a good way.

5. Sinister

I may be a snob, but this is one of the few horror movies that I can watch again and again. This movie is just so well made and honestly so scary, but make sure you take time to laugh at the pretentious author too.

6. The Conjuring

Another horror classic. This one went over so well it inspired two sequels and two spin-offs. If you've got the time, go ahead and watch them all if you have enough clean pants.

7. Ghostbusters

Who doesn't love Ghostbusters? No one. That's who. It may be the most quotable movie ever. I also highly recommend the remake. I don't want to hear your opinions, Kate McKinnon is my god.

8. Scream

It's star-studded, a cult classic, and spooky but also spoofy to ease you off the horror movies.

9. Saw

Another one of my all-time favorites. If you haven't seen it, you definitely should. It twists your mind like crazy. It also twists your stomach... I hope you can handle gore if you sit down to this one.

10. Beetlejuice

Another classic Halloween movie. Actually, it doesn't count as Halloween unless you watch this movie. Come down from the intense horror with the campy comedy with a Tim Burton feel.

Honorable Mention: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

This movie, like all the Charlie Brown movies, is a holiday classic. There are some pretty intense opinions out there, including mine. Sorry, I'm not a fan of this movie, but for many people it holds a special place in their heart.

So whether you're a scare-your-pants-off horror movie buff, or a slightly spooky kids movie lover, you can enjoy a [not-so] scary movie marathon to celebrate Halloween with plenty of candy, popcorn, and blankets.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
