Dear Best Friends,

This is real. I always knew this day would come, but frankly, I didn't want to think about it. Most of you have already left for college, and it has finally hit me that I'm not going to be seeing you all every day at school. Lately, more than ever, I've appreciated the fact that I never had a ton of friends. Saying goodbye to the five of you is hard enough.

I don't know how I'll survive college without you, but just so you know, no one will ever compare to you guys. You were the first friends I made in high school, and I've been friends with some of you since grade school! Who would've thought that a trip to a skating rink would've solidified my friends forever. I'll miss the hours spent together curling hair and doing make up for school dances. I'll miss watching movies and binging on tons of food that we baked, that would soon send us into sugar comas. I'll miss late night heart to hearts that helped me realize that I have the best friends in the world.

Without you guys, I 100 percent would not be the person I am today. Each one of you contributes something amazing to my life. I look up to each and every one of you. You are all beautiful girls, and I can't believe that I was so blessed to meet you all so early in my life. It makes me feel spoiled, because I was fortunate enough to meet the coolest girls in the world. I couldn't imagine living without you.

But alas, I have to. We will all be at college by the end of the week, which means that Skype conversations will have to do for the next few months. But, I'm not worried, because we have a bond that can never be broken. Just know that you will still be the ones I call to vent about my current life struggles. I'll still text you when a math problem seems impossible. I'll still come to you begging for advice on which dress to buy. And, I hope that you know that however many miles apart we are, you can always come to me. (Always remember that I have a futon that you can crash on when life just gets too hard!)

Who knows where college will take us, but I can't wait for all of the adventures to come. Bridesmaids, vacations and children...the best memories together have yet to be made. You guys were my first real best friends, and I want you to know that whatever happens in college, you will always be #1 in my heart. I can't wait to see you all again soon! I love you to the moon and back.

Love always,

Kristen

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
