The Best Main ‘Friends’ Characters Ranked

In This Article:

If you ask me what I'm watching on Netflix, 9/10 times I'll say 'Friends'. I have re-watched this show at least 5 times and it never fails to make me smile! It has gotten me through some pretty hard times and has taken away my boredom numerous times. For the most part, I have very strong opinions about the main characters, so here it goes. Feel free to disagree.

6. Ross

Sorry not sorry, but ross kinda sucks. He is just so annoying!!!! First, just because you were on a "break", doesn't give you the right to go sleep with another girl IMMEDIATELY!!!! Second, why the heck did he get married and divorced so many times? Seriously, get it together. Third, he has TERRIBLE taste in women.... besides Rachel of course. Fourth, he is SO condescending and judgmental over everyone. Fifth, the whining. never. stops. JUST SHUT IT, ROSS! Sixth, he finds anyway possible to make everything about himself, and it's obnoxious. I can pop out 30 more reasons, but I think y'all get the point.

5. Monica

Yes, her and Chandler are AMAZING, but Monica can really get on my nerves. She is just so pushy and bossy. She has to be the best at everything, no one else is given a moment to shine. Also... can we just talk about this gif real quick. Monica, honey, your hair looks DUMB. If your hair is frizzing output it in a bun or two french braids! I do, however, feel bad for the lack of attention, love, and support she receives from her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Geller, your daughter is wayyyy better than your son, please pay attention to her!

4. Rachel

It's not that I don't like Rachel, she just has her moments. I was so proud of her when she went her own way and made a life for herself in the city without the help over her parents. But.... her history with Ross really just bothers me and brings her down a few pegs. She tries way to hard with guys and when her snobby spoiled side peaks out it drives me crazy. On the positive side, she put up with a lot of garbage and she was a GREAT mom!

3. Pheobe

My dad is not a big "Pheobe Fan" and to this day I cannot figure out why. She is hilarious!!! Yes, she is a little dippy and the whole "my mom killed herself" excuse can be a bit excessive, but overall Pheobe is always there for a good laugh. I love how comfortable she is with being herself. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her and I really admire that. Nothing made me happier than when her and Mike fell in love. The two of them are the true OTP!!

2. Joey

First of all, his intense love for food and his Italian culture really hits home! I feel like something about Joey that is overlooked a lot is his dedication to his career. He doesn't have much success at auditions, but that doesn't discourage him from going to more auditions in the future. Not to mention, did you see how great he was to Rachel and Emma??? He totally stepped in there to help out and he even gave up Hugsy (with only a little bit of whining). Joey's downfall... he is a little too much of a player for my liking.

1. Chandler

How could one NOT love Chandler Bing?! I mean look how cute!!!! i just want to hug him. He is such a great husband to Monica, he is the BEST friend a person could ever ask for to Joey, and he is so cute with the twins at the end of season 10. The poor guy is always looked over and I feel like he is WAY under appreciated. I'm sitting here trying to think of a bad thing about Chandler and the only thing I can think of is that he prefers cats over dogs.... that's it.... otherwise he is perfect! I love you Chandler Bing, I hope I have a husband like you someday.

Well, it's time for me to go watch some more friends. I'm now contemplating doing a sequel to this article in the near future involving less important characters from 'Friends' or even doing this for different shows. Guess you will just have to wait and see :)

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
