The Best of Friends

Everyone has friends. Some of us are lucky enough to have Best Friends.

As we go throughout life, we meet people that we call friends. Some of us have more friends than we can count. Others seem to keep that number to just a select few. No matter the amount of friends that a person has, people always seem to have those friends that are above the rest. The ones we call Best Friends.

Now, I'm not talking about the generic "bff's" you made in early grade school. I'm talking about something more. I'm talking about those friends who you never need to talk to. You can be apart from them for months or even years, and as soon as you get back together, it's as if no time has passed at all. These friends are the ones who can communicate an entire day's worth of stress and problems in a single sigh. Those are The Best of Friends.

We all have those friends. Myself included. I've got those goofy, sometimes annoying friends. Sometimes they do something and I just shake my head. Other times, they'll make comments that are so inappropriate that they make me laugh just writing about it. But in the end, we will always be those guys that everyone looks at and says "How are you guys friends?" And trust me, we've asked that same question ourselves. But we never really expect an answer. Or want one. We all kind of silently agree that whatever the reason is, it doesn't matter. We're just gonna keep pushing on, helping each other through this crazy thing called life. And sometimes laughing when they trip and roll down the steps.

I purposefully left out any names in this article. I left them out so that you could fill them in. You know your friends better than I do. Which ones you love like a brother or a sister. And which ones you'd give anything for just to help them out. You have your inside jokes, and your common enemies. You have common views, or conflicting ones. But somehow you all make it work.

These are The Best of Friends. Cherish them.

Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
