An Open Letter To My Best Friends

Dear my best friends,

As much as a I think about how many people I have surrounding me and by my side on a daily basis I remember how thankful I am to have them. It’s not outrages acts of kindness that are impressive, it’s the heartfelt things; looking out for each other, making sure someone’s on track, being someone reliable. Those are the things that count.

Thank you for not giving up on me and believing in me no matter what. People like you are going to make this world a better place. Whether we talk every day or once a month, thank you for always being there with listening ears. College is a very hectic time in our lives, but it's amazing to know I have friends that I don't have to talk too on a daily basis, yet as soon as we do we pick up right where we left off.

When I'm having a bad day, I know you're there. When I'm upset because I didn't do well on an exam, I know youre there. When a boy breaks my heart, I know you're there. When I just need a hug, I know you're there.

I truly couldn't imagine life without each and everyone of you. Thank you for being you and stay true to who you are because who you are is amazing.

Love, Megan

And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
