To My Best Friend And Soulmate — My Sister

The greatest gift our parents ever gave us was each other.

To my best friend, my soulmate, my sister:

I would not know how to live out each day of my life without you.

You have been there for me since day one — literally.

You understand me better than anyone else and one thing I know for sure is that I can always count on you.

I can always count on you to back me up with mom and dad if I did something wrong. I can always count on you to let me borrow something out of your closet. And I can always count on you to come to my rescue when other people won't.

You are truly one of the only people I can sit in a silent room with for hours and still feel present with. And you are also one of the only people who I can honestly say that I could never get sick of.

I know I used to steal clothes from your closet and never give them back. I know that I used to be super bratty and try to get you in trouble. And I know that I am nowhere near perfect but even through the toughest of times, you've stuck by side (even if you really had no choice).

No one will ever understand the appreciation and love that I have for you, and there are really no words of expression to show how much you mean to me.

You are my sister by blood but my best friend by choice — and as cheesy as that sounds, it is utterly true. We even got matching tattoos together and if that doesn't express friendship, I don't know what does.

You made all of the mistakes before I had the chance to as the role of being the older sibling, but I thank you for letting me sit back and learn from them.

I feel so blessed to have had you when growing up because I can honestly say that I couldn't have done any of it without you.

I always had someone to go to boring family gatherings with, someone to wake up early on Christmas morning with, and someone to share with.

Some of my best memories in life are with you and I will forever cherish the good and the bad ones that we have made together.

You make each day brighter and even though we are older and many miles apart now, you are still the most treasured possession in my life.

I don't know anyone else who gets me like you do and I am so blessed that you were given to me in this life as my sister.

You are an inspiration to me and to many; I have looked up to you from the beginning, and I still look up to you now.

I really don't think you will ever realize the impact that you have made on me and my life, but I just want you to know that it has been tremendous.

There is no one else that I would rather experience this life with. I couldn't imagine it without you, and I simply wouldn't want to.

Much love xx

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
