To The Best Friend I Never Saw Coming

Most friendship start out slowly, but ours really didn't. By the end of the first week of orientation we were ordering Dominos, playing ping pong, and stressing about upcoming classes together. I never imagined I'd find a friend like you; someone who makes every day far more bearable. I owe you a whole bunch of "Thank You's".

1. For Always Keeping Me On Track

When I forget about the discussion board due in an hour, you were the one to text me right before to remind you. When I was just about to give up on calculus, you sat down with me and taught me derivatives ALL DAY. When I need help with homework or need a study buddy you are always my go to girl. Or even just sitting with you doing homework together will always be better than doing it alone.

2. For Always Being Someone To Lean On

Considering we do literally everything together, you know about ALL the drama in my life. From boys to friends you have always been honest with me about what I deserve. Whenever I'm upset or discouraged you always know just what to do to make me laugh.

3. For Doing Everything With Me

From a quick trip to a professor's office hours, to returning a book to the library, all I have to do is send you a text and you're there. Oh and thank you for being the one other person in the world who enjoys eating lunch at 11:30 and dinner at 5:30. But don't forget Jeopardy is on at 7:30 and it's basically a sin to miss a night.

4. For Unforgettable Memories That Will Stick With Me Forever

Busting your butt on the hammocks the first week of school, Inanimati, jamming in your car to anything from Carrie Underwood to Kodak, kicking my ass at air hockey EVERY TIME, sleepovers in your room on couch cushions, JJ Muggs dates, dancing with professors, spring formal, flashcards on our bench, honestly I could write an article on our memories alone, but you get the point.

Here's to 3 more years in school together and many more after. Luhh You

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
