A Letter To My Best Friend

"The best kind of friendships are the friendships where you both believe in each other, defend each other, and believe the other deserves the world."

A Letter To My Best Friend
Brittany Jordan

Dear Best Friend,

We’ve been through a lot together in only the short time we’ve known each other. We had breakups and makeups, road trips, and big life decisions. You held my hand through it all, and I can’t thank you enough for it.

God has blessed me with such an amazing best friend; better than I ever deserve. I know you always argue with me when I say this, but it’s true. Nothing I could do in this lifetime would make me deserve such an amazing person in my life such as you. And nothing I do could repay you for everything you do.

Thank you for never judging me on my appearance. You see what I look like when I first wake up in the morning, and you never say a word about it. If we go out in public, we’re always the ones wearing our pajamas, no matter what time of day. I can always be myself around you, and that’s what true friendship is.

I know that you think you will be single forever, but that’s so not true. You are the strongest, kindest, most trustworthy person I know. You have a heart of gold and are so incredibly beautiful, inside and out. You help anyone in need and never ask for anything in return. I don’t want you to ever doubt your worth, and I know that one day you will find a guy that’s perfect for you.

I hope you know you can always come to me, no matter where I am in the world or what time it is. No matter if it’s good or bad. I will always be here to support you and to help in whatever way I can if you need it. Or just be the ear to listen, if that’s all you need.

I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for just being you. Thank you for being the one who keeps my secrets. Thank you for being my rock. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on. Thank you for being my happiness.

As this crazy life continues and takes us down our own paths, I know we will always find our way back to each other. I am so excited to see where you go and the amazing things you will do. I am so proud of you already. I only hope that every person will one day find someone who illuminates their life like you do for me every single day.

I love you forever and always,

Your Best Friend

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
