You've been there since the beginning.

Most of my life's moments involve you in it: prom, senior year and those awkward middle school crushes. I couldn't imagine my life without you. When I think back to the late night chats, the driving around for hours so we don't have to go home yet and the double dates, I think of nothing but the great memories we have.

Now that we're older, I appreciate our friendship even more. I appreciate that even though we're 170 miles away when we see each other again, nothing changes.

I love that if I'm having a bad day or if I need advice, I can call you. I love that even though we may have not physically seen each other daily, I know I always have you by my side. It's crazy how long we've been friends. The older I get, the more I realize that friendships like ours are hard to come by. You've never judged me, you've never made me feel inferior and you've put me in my place when I need it. I'll never be able to thank you enough for that.

When I think about life after college, I know you'll still be in my life. I know that you'll be there on my wedding day, you'll be there when I have my first child, and you'll be there for the roughest moments in my life. I'm thankful that you know everything about me. Sometimes, I'm a little scared you may know me better than I know myself. I'm also thankful for your family who always greeted me with open arms.

So here's to our friendship. It's not always been sunshine and rainbows, but it's been ours. You're not only my best friend but more like a sister. I can only hope I have been a friend like that for you, too. Here's to the moments we have made and to those we will make in the future. I love you so much.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
