You're more than just my co-worker

To My Work Best Friend

We may not get to work every shift with together or see each other everyday. We may not get the chance to talk for a bit, just to say hey. But you should know, you're the reason why I haven't quit.

You're the reason I'm still working here. Even outside of work you're there. From going to having someone to talk, to going to random concerts. You are by far one of my favorite people in the world.

In a short short time you've become my best friend.

You may not have been there for me for my whole life, but you've been there for me for a big part of it. You've watched me go through all sorts of emotions and learned to help me keep my cool. You've been my shoulder to cry on, when I felt like I had no one. You've been my listening ear, when one else card. You've wiped my tears, because I'm over emotional and need help sometimes. You've held my hand and stood by my side when I needed someone to be there.

To you, I hope I am just the same. I hope I'm that same person for you. We both deserve happiness and a supporter. Both inside and outside of work. I am truly bless to, not only call you my co worker, but a best friend. You've kept every secret and wiped every tear.

You make work fun for me. We share so many laughs when working together. We slightly bully each other, but we know we mean no harm. We laugh at every moment, and it'll be a great memory later on. We have our own inside jokes and secrets. You're the one co worker I can be myself around and have no judgment. You're the one co worker who gets it. Who cheers me on, inside and outside of work.

Even if one of us leaves our job, and we grow in different paths, you're still my best friend. You'll forever be my favorite co worker and no one can replace that. Thank you for being more than just a co-worker, but being a best friend too.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
