The winter break for college students is a time full of relaxing, meditating and recovering from a horrific semester and terrible finals. But the break is also important to students for something else: the holiday season.

It wouldn’t be Christmas time unless you came home to everything you've missed while away at school. Now is the time to shop, eat great food and even get along with your family for a whole month (who knew it was possible?).

This break is all about getting into the Christmas spirit. Here are the 22 best feelings of winter break:

1. Drinking hot chocolate.

It may be cold outside, but at least you’re warm inside.

2. Staying indoors when it’s cold outside.

Staying indoors is especially nice when you’re not used to the cold weather.

3. Wearing sweaters.

Winter clothes are the best clothes.

4. Wearing ugly Christmas sweaters.

Ugly Christmas sweaters are a totally different category than just wearing regular sweaters.

5. Opening presents.

It’s basically the only time you feel appreciated.

6. Eating the best homemade food.

What’s better than presents? Nothing really, but getting some great holiday meals is definitely a close second.

7. Being done with school for a month.

You’ve never been so happy to go home after finals.

8. Seeing old friends.

It’s a good feeling to go home and see friends who go to different schools than you.

9. Eating holiday treats.

Nearly every store is filled with the best holiday desserts.

10. Seeing Christmas lights.

It is a great time to take a drive and see if your neighbors decided to be festive this year.

11. Holiday shopping.

We all know that when you go shopping for presents, you also look at gifts for yourself.

12. Seeing your family.

This is probably the only time during the year when you can stand to spend a whole month with the people who usually drive you crazy.

13. When people tell you, “Merry Christmas”.

Your festive meter goes way up when people randomly decide to spread the Christmas cheer.

14. Watching Christmas movies.

What’s better than gluing yourself to the TV and watching your favorite Christmas reruns.

15. Dressing up your pets in ridiculous Christmas outfits.

They might not like it, but you do.

16. Cranking up the Christmas music.

You can’t get tired of it.

17. Shopping the day after Christmas as if it’s Black Friday.

Honestly, after Christmas shopping probably has better deals anyways.

18. Splurging on your Christmas list.

Write down everything, and I mean everything you want.

19. Asking someone what they want for Christmas and they actually tell you.

This is not a guessing game. Just say it!

20. Month long sales on everything.

The holidays have got it right.

21. Binge watching all of your favorite shows on Netflix.

You know you have been dying to catch up!

22. Sleeping in practically everyday.

The best way to recover from the semester is to catch up on your beauty sleep.

So there you have it, the best feelings of the winter break. Enjoy it!

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
