Let's go get some pizza!!!

The Best Drunk Foods Money Can Buy

Nothing beats getting home at 2 AM after a night out at the bar and whipping up a concoction of your favorite foods or hitting the best late-night spot on your block. There's some universal favorites (pizza) and some local contenders who hit home in this week's episode of What's Your Favorite Drunk Food? Personally, my bed becomes priority when I get home unless I can find a good slice (or 5) of pizza. I rarely make it to the kitchen and usually head straight for bed, but if there's pizza in my near future, I'll make sure to snag a bite.

Pizza is the number one late-night classic for most. It's greasy, cheesy and the most readily available. Here's what people had to say:

"White slice, it's greasy and cheesy and delicious" - Jaime 21, Rutger's University

"It's easy to eat and hold onto. You don't have to wait for it, it's cheap and 9/10 times they [the pizza place] let you use the bathroom [(priorities)]" -Jeremy 21, Suffolk University

"White pizza tastes incredible when you're drunk." - Julia 21, Ithaca College

"I feel like [pizza] is appropriate for any drunk situation." - Emma 21, Temple University

"The obvious choice is pizza because who hasn't woken up to a half eaten pizza you forgot you ordered the night before." - Casey 22, Suffolk University graduate

"Pizza just goes great with beer." - Kevin 21, Suffolk University

Sarah, 21 from University of New Haven created her own after a night out and gave very detailed instructions; "Two pieces of bread, toasted. Then put some mild cheddar cheese on it. Microwave it for about 20 seconds. Put some pepperoni on it. Microwave it again for 20 seconds. Put more cheese on it, put it in the microwave again but with marinara on the side. Then fold in half and enjoy."

Mac and Cheese came in second place for drunken popularity with it's reliable creamy and cheesy flavor.

"Mac and cheese is easy to make and it's delicious." - Bobbi 22, Suffolk University

"Even though it sucks to make, it's just so cheesy and wonderful when drunk, you want things that are overly milky and cheesy." -Julia 21, Ithaca College

Cheese is clearly high on the ranking of drunk cravings. Cheez-Its and cheese fries are more fan favorites.

"Cheez-Its are tasty and salty and force me to drink water. I can eat a whole box in one sitting and I will if not controlled." - Christine 21, Suffolk University

"Cheez-Its are delicious because they have salt and cheddar taste and go perfect with beer." - Kevin 21, Suffolk University

"I always go to Kelly's [in Allston], it's so good and open till 3 am. Their cheese fries are for sure a favorite (fries with cheese and bacon)." - Mariana 22, Suffolk University

"French fries from Pauli's in the North End. They're actually good for helping you not be hungover. Have you had their fries?? They're perfect." - Jack 21, Suffolk University

"The goodness and melty-ness of cheese [fries] doesn't go truly appreciated when sober." - Marisa 21, Ithaca College

Sometimes unconventionality is the way to go after a few vodka-Redbulls and dollar drafts, as well as the capability of being able to walk and eat. It's important that you can get your snack attack on while adventuring home.

Jason 18, from Ohio University said his favorite chicken and waffle sandwich is perfect because "you can carry it while walking and it's filling".

"It's not a snack, it's a sandwich; a wawa meatball sandwich. I was told it was the best thing to eat when you're drunk and it really is." -Courtney, 21

"Pasta, you're usually so starving and it's warm and filling. Leftovers in general are so satisfying." - Matt 21, Suffolk University

"Chips and salsa, for the salt obviously." - Julia, 30

Nothing is better than the words 'Open 24/7' and if you're lucky enough to live near Bova's, you're winning. "Bova's in the North End because it's open 24 hours. Chocolate covered strawberries are the best food group. And Smartfood." - Aoife 21, Suffolk University

"Smartfood popcorn. You can shovel it in, basically wear it as a feed bag." - Jimmy, 34

"Warm chocolate chip cookies are the best things ever especially if you had a salty snack and now want something sweet." - Marisa 21, Ithaca College

"I did this the other night it was great." Ben, 20, from Suffolk University said, "A full English cucumber with Ranch is filling--quick, easy, and healthy."

So whether you order a whole pizza for yourself or munch on some carrots, every drunk snack is perfect and don't let anyone tell you different.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
