5 Makeup Products That You Need

There are my holy grail products that I have used for at least 3 years:

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

thestyledpress.com

This has been a holy grail of mine since 2016. Though it is a hefty $25, a little goes a long way and one tube has lasted me more than a year. It doesn't crease and the coverage is phenomenal. This is great for when you have dark circles that you want to hide, especially because it lasts all day. I bought 2 of these concealers when Ulta had their 21 days of beauty, in which it was 50% off.

Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade

Anastasia Beverly Hills is known for its brow products. This dipbrow pomade is waterproof and lasts all day. However, make sure to use a light hand when filling your brows in. Almost everyone will go overboard when they first use dipbrow pomade, so their brows end up looking too harsh (I know from personal experience). A fine eyebrow brush and a light hand will make your eyebrows fuller, and my jar has lasted me for 2 years with daily use.

bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

This stuff will give you a natural glow and a natural finish. For me, I dislike too much coverage and this gel cream is perfect for covering my imperfections while not looking too cakey. It doesn't look like you have any foundation on your face, and if you want more coverage, it's easy to layer. The SPF will protect your skin from the sun and you can apply this with your fingers easily.

L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Mascara

m.media-amazon.com

Though I recommended a lot of high-end products in this article, this mascara has performed better than anything I've ever used. For less than $10, L'Oreal telescopic mascara will make your lashes more voluminous and long while separating them really well. The wand is my absolute favorite because it is thin and so easy to use, and as a girl with short and sparse lashes, this mascara make my lashes pop.

ColourPop Blush Stix

cdn.shopify.com

I absolutely love this stuff. This is perfect and creamy if you want a natural pink tint on your cheeks. Additionally, it is only $6 a stick and lasts for so long. As an Asian, the color "Aloha" gives me some color without looking like I applied blush on. I use my index finger to rub and warm the top and pat it on the apples of my cheeks

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
