Happy sylly week!

New semester, new you, new drinks. Going out to the bars in your college town is sometimes intimidating, there's not a direct menu, you'll see bottles of alcohol lined up from Monarch to Smirnoff and there are so many different flavors. I'm now 22 years old, so I've decided this year I need to stop shotgunning beers in a frat house; I'm evolving, ok? There are so many combinations with vodka, rum, and even whiskey that will taste so good it will get you dancing and maybe even singing some karaoke. I'm no expert, but I've ordered enough gross drinks to know some good ones.

Here are the 14 best drinks to order this syllabus week.

1. Vodka Sour

Vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup, this drink is sweet but also has a sour bite!

2. Jack & Coke

Simple, cheap, good.

3. Vodka Cran

Basic bitch but smart bitch because this is yummy

4. AMF

Adios!!!!! This is so good but will definitely get you blacked out.

5. Long Island Iced Tea

The BEST but has a lot of alcohol so this delicious drink will definitely catch up to you.

6. Vodka Redbull/Rockstar

Tastes so good but will 100% sneak up on you and you will be very drunk.

7. Vodka Soda

A classic. Just ice, vodka, tonic water, and a lime slice. This definitely isn't the tastiest drink on this list but it is great if you're trying to cut out sugary alcohol and extra calories.

8. Malibu Pineapple

Pineapple juice and Malibu rum, this is a tropical treat you don't taste any alcohol in it.

9. Dirty Shirley

All the goodness of a Shirley Temple but with alcohol, they grow up so fast.

10. Sex On The Beach

A fruity concoction made with vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice, and orange juice.

11. Tequila Sunrise

Tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup, this drink is sure to get you dancin'.

12. Lemon Drop

Perfectly lemony and perfectly sweet.

13. Whiskey Sour

Whiskey, lemon juice, sugar, and sometimes even a dash of egg white. Although at most college bars it's just whiskey, lemon juice, and sugar.

14. Cougarita

Exclusively at The Coug in Pullman, WA. A margarita, Wazzu style.

See y'all this year for some Cougaritas!

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.

I've known you your entire life. More than likely I held you in the first three days of it and at least one of us cried. Cousins are truly one of the best things in the world and while sometimes I complain about how many people crowd Grandma's living room on Christmas Eve, I wouldn't trade you all anything.

You are my best friends, the only people who can understand what it's like on Thanksgiving, and you are the spunkiest people I have ever met. But you as so so young, most of you are just now starting your adventures in the public education system. I mean, I'm so very young too. I'm not married, I don't have children, heck, I just started my adult life, but I do want to give you what little advice I have. My dears, these are the things I want you to know.
