Because everyone needs more dogs in their life

Obviously, all dog breeds are the best dog breeds because all dogs are perfect angels sent from heaven. I’ve never met a dog I did not like. (In case you can’t tell, I am a dog person.) These are a few of my favorite breeds that deserve to be showcased.

1. Beagle

I never knew how incredible these dogs were until my friend got one. Her dog, Jax, is such a good dog. He is a lemon spotted beagle, so he is blonde! He is also so soft. I would be surprised if there is a softer animal than a beagle. He is so energetic and happy and perfect. I highly recommend improving your life by finding a beagle to love.

2. Standard Schnauzer

When someone says schnauzer you probably imagine a yappy miniature schnauzer. However, schnauzers actually come in three breeds: giant, standard, and miniature. My favorite is the standard schnauzer because that is what my family dog, Rudy, is and he is the best. He is so smart, he recognizes people, and definitely understands English. Schnauzers are loyal, loving, and good guard dogs.

3. Siberian Husky

Everyone knows huskies are one of the coolest breeds. First of all, these dogs are basically domesticated wolves, which makes them clearly one of a kind. They also have beautiful eyes that look directly into human souls. Have you ever laid next to a husky and looked into their eyes? It’s an experience everyone needs to have.

4. Labrador Retriever

Labs are reliable, true friends. These dogs are so loyal and friendly. There is no way you can be sad if you are around a Labrador retriever because they are so energetic and happy. They also come in many colors, so go get yourself one in every color and have the best dog-filled life imaginable.

5. Rat Terrier

When my mom told me she was getting a rat terrier, I was confused why she would choose the breed over every other dog breed. But when I met her dog, Dory, I instantly fell in love. These dogs are so well behaved and loving and rarely bark. They have super long legs and can jump so high! They are perfect dogs that need more recognition in the dog world.

6. Shih Tzu

Although they are small, shih tzu dogs are not annoying. A shih tzu makes the best little companion. My family has a shih tzu and she is the calmest and most affectionate dog. All she wants to do is sit on your lap and take naps all day long. These adorable dogs have dark eyes, soft fur, and are ridiculously cute.

7. Pug

Pugs have squished faces, curly tails, and waddle everywhere they go. The best thing about pugs is that they smile! When they are happy they get a huge smile on their face and they stick their tongue out. I wish I was always surrounded by smiling pugs.

Dogs are unarguably the best species and are the ideal best friend. There are so many breeds and they are all perfect in their own way.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
