It's hard to remember exactly when you graduated from Disney and moved onto Netflix and reality TV, but it's impossible to forget the iconic shows of the early 2000s that had us hooked. We still find ourselves referencing what I like to call the golden age of Disney Channel.
Although everyone will believe they had it best, our Disney years were seriously the best:
1. "Hannah Montana"
You still have to wonder how Miley smearing a cake on her face worked to disguise herself from her best friend. Either way, the show arguably has the catchiest theme song and a memorable first episode.
2. "Hannah Montana"
Jackson and Oliver's rap about their cheese jerky recipe might still be stuck in your head years later-- or you at least know all the words. Dude, it really workey.
3. "That's So Raven"
For a second, we had full confidence in Raven to pull off posing as her mom for a parent teacher conference.
4. "Suite Life of Zack & Cody"
Props to you if Esteban being possessed didn't terrify you in the haunted room episode.
5. "That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana"
When all three shows combined into an epic hour-long special there were simply no words.
6. "Lizzie McGuire"
When every girl found this to be so relatable because we were tired of being treated like kids and just wanted to be an awkward teen.
7. "The Lizzie McGuire Movie"
Just the fact that Lizzie took a field trip to Rome in 8th grade still blows my mind. Also, her 14-year-old-self rendezvoused with an Italian pop star all week, which is def questionable @Disney?
8. "Camp Rock"
Because literally nothing beat the "This is Me" duet with Joe Jonas, where you could pretty much feel the sparks flying between them through your TV.
9. "Even Stevens"
When Louis falls for Beans' cousin and can't stop picturing her as Beans.
10. "The Even Stevens Movie"
Ren and Louis showed actual affection toward each other by the end of the movie and it made you want to tell your sibs you loved them.
11. "The Proud Family Movie"
The dance battle with Penny and her friends vs. the peanut people was one of the stranger moments, yet the Proud Family was still something to look forward to.
12. "The High School Musical" movies
All of the "High School Musical" movies will go down in Disney channel history, but can we acknowledge Chad being a huge buzz kill by trying to make people stick to the status quo when all they wanted to do was break stereotypes and do what they loved?
13. "The Cheetah Girls"
The bond between Chanel, Aqua, Dorinda, and Galleria was one that we looked for in every friendship from then on.
Looking back on it, the Disney that we grew up with provided us with endless laughs and lessons that will stick with us forever.
