On June 24th, 2016, Disney Channel aired "Adventures in Babysitting," a remake of the 1987 classic and the network's 100th original movie. The network has been airing made-for-TV movies since its very beginning in 1983, but eventually came to be known as DCOMs (or Disney Channel Original Movies) starting in 1997. Over the next 19 years, Disney Channel aired 100 DCOMs, including classics such as "High School Musical," "The Cheetah Girls," and "Camp Rock."
