Halloween is coming up fast, so the next couple of weeks in the perfect time to start shopping for a Halloween costume. You can buy it straight from the store, or you can make the costume yourself. Whatever you wear though, make sure you rock it!


1. Harry Potter Themed Costume

Who does not love Harry Potter? You can go as a member of your favorite house, or you can dress as your favorite character. You can usually find ideas on Pinterest to help make the costume yourself that way it is cheaper.

2. A Superhero or Villian

Up, up, and away! These costumes are always popular for guys and gals. I decided to switch things up this, and I am going as Clark Kent. I have a Superman bodysuit that will be under a white blouse and a black pencil skirt with black suspenders. Also, cannot forget about the glasses either! You can so creative with these costumes at such a cheap price.

3. A Disney Princess

Dance the night away as your favorite princess. You can go with a classic, such a Snow White or Cinderella, or you can go modern with characters like Moana or Merida. This costumes can usually be purchased at a local costume store or online.

4. Lion, Tiger, Bear Oh My!

Animal costumes are always in season! The most popular costumes tend to be feline in nature. However, with simple makeup techniques, you can be a deer, giraffe, or even a peacock. The possibilities are endless

5. A Flapper

The 1920's was all the rage, so shouldn't your outfit be too? You can make your own costume DIY, buy it at a store like Walmart, or online.

6. Unicorn

This costume is all the rage this year on Pinterest. You can either make a DIY horn headband, or you can buy one! Also, there are plenty of Youtube videos that can teach you how to give your unicorn makeup that extra sparkle.

7. Fairy

Just a little bit of pixie dust can make this outfit twinkle. You can purchase your own set of wings in any color! You can even find a pair to match a dress you have. Don't forget to add some more glitter to the wings to make your outfit even better. Also, there are hundreds of makeup tutorials for this costume as well if you want a little inspiration.

8. Angels and Demons

You can dress anyway your heart desires... For the Angel costume, gold, white, and silver are usually the perfect combinations. You can add some highlight to your cheeks to make your aura glow even brighter as well. For a demon costume, red, black, and purple are usually the best. Also, wings can be added to this costume as well!

9. A Clown

This costume does not have to be 100% scary, Clowns can be cute too. You can make your costume as colorful as you want, and purchase black eyeliner to make the black lines over the white because greasepaint has a tendency to smear especially if you are working up a sweat at a party.

10. A Scarecrow

This costume is absolutely to die for. This can be 100% done by yourself if you feel creative. The makeup can be found on Pinterest. The costume can be made just with some overalls, a plaid shirt, a straw hat, and some random pieces of straw to make the outfit complete!.
