The holiday season is upon us, and while the weather outside isn't so frightful, the lack of people that have seen these classic Christmas movies is. Whether you're a Hallmark movie gal or a comedy fan, these ten Christmas movies will have you tear-struck, whether that be from laughing or moping.

9. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)

In this classic children's tale, we follow the story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, who struggles to find where he belongs. With the help of his friends and some other acquaintances along the way, Rudolph finds where he truly fits in and belongs.

8. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This holiday hit will have the whole family in fits of giggles as we watch the ever-so-relatable Griswold family go through a wild Christmas vacation, beginning with the family picking out the perfect tree. From the moment the movie begins to the second that it ends, the Griswold's will have you laughing to no end.

7. A Christmas Carol

This movie is the age-old classic that follows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the typical Christmas grouch. After meeting the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and yet to come, he becomes a new and reformed man. This classic film will give you a newfound appreciation for Christmas, and as open your heart to new and different people.

6. It's a Wonderful Life

While many children might find this movie a bit boring, more mature children and adults will adore this classic. Known as one of the greatest cinematic hits in America, this classic is widely known and loved. The plot feature George Bailey who's attempt at suicide sends a guardian angel his way. His guardian angel shows him how the town would have been without him, and all of the great things that George has done in his lifetime, thus making George a new and improved gentleman.

5. Elf

In this hilarious Christmas film, we watch Buddy the elf struggle to find where he belongs. He searches for his family in New York City before deciding that he needs to save Christmas and all of the children who don't believe. In this highly adored film, there are jokes and incidents that will have the whole family laughing till they cry.

4. The Polar Express

Probably my personal favorite on the list, the Polar Express is a heartwarming tale of a boy who begins to question Santa's existence. He boards a train, known as the Polar Express, that is about to head to the North Pole. He meets several fun and wacky characters along the ride, and eventually meets Santa himself. The boy finds a rekindled belief in Santa and returns home with a faith stronger than ever before.

3. The Santa Clause

This hilarious movie series will have the kids giggling like mad. This tale follows Scott Calvin and his son Charlie. Scott accidentally injures Santa, leading him to put on the suit and become the new Santa. We follow his struggle with telling others, convincing his ex-wife, and gaining quite a few pounds. This movie is a classic family favorite.

2. Miracle On 34th Street

While this Christmas classic is near and dear to my heart personally, it's also a phenomenal movie. We follow the story of a young girl that is learning to believe in Santa, as she's been told by her mother countless times that Santa isn't real. She meets Kris Kringle eventually, and he becomes the focal point for her turnaround attitude toward Christmas. This movie is such a precious story!

1. A Christmas Story

This surprising movie will have everyone in the family laughing till they cry. This movie follows a schoolboy who desperately wants a Red Ryder Air Rifle for christmas. We follow his hilarious tale of convincing his parents, and eventually getting the rifle. This movie will be a christmas favorite for years to come.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
