Ah yes, its almost that time, which means, you haven't watched any of the Christmas movies on this list, you're falling behind. Use this list to get caught up and get into the Christmas spirit!
"Arthur Christmas"
Arthur Christmas is the sweet tale of Santa's youngest son, Arthur, who just doesn't seem to be cut out for the family tradition of taking over the mantle of Santa. When one child is somehow missed in all of the Christmas chaos, Arthur tries to prove his worth by making sure that the child gets their gifts.
"It's a Wonderful Life"
This one is my favorite on the list, so while I may be biased, I feel that this is the quintessential Christmas movie. George Bailey questions the meaning of his life but is eventually shown just how he affected everyone around him. The movie focuses on family and love, the true spirit of a Christmas movie.
"Jingle All The Way"
Considered to be a "bad" movie, but albeit, a fun one. Arnie goes on an adventure to get the perfect gift for his son and learns a few lessons along the way.
"Love Actually"
Perhaps this is a cliche, "basic" choice, but this film remains one of my favorites and a timeless classic. Follow an ensemble cast through different types of love, from happy, to heartwrenching.
Home Alone
This movie has it all. It is a Christmas film, as young Kevin learns to appreciate his family when he accidentally gets left Home Alone for the holidays. At the same time, while most children dream of being left alone, it takes that idea and turns it into a nightmare, leaving Kevin to become a Christmas action hero in his own right.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
While the Benedict Cumberbatch remake might be taking the spotlight right now, I'd like to remind everyone of the 2000 Jim Carrey version, which was a spectacular telling of the store with an absolute comedic genius playing the title character. Could you ask for anything more?
