The holidays are upon us and if you’re someone who is currently struggling to get the beauty lover in your life the best Christmas gift ever, you’re in luck.

I definitely know a thing or two about that. After weeks of scouring the web for the best gifts that are guaranteed to make any makeup lover squeal with joy, I have complied the following list to help anyone looking for the perfect gift.

For the Liquid Lipstick Lover:

Jeffree Star Cosmetics' Velour Liquid Lipsticks come in so many shades that it will make your head spin. Personally, I recommend his stunning nudes that come in shades suitable for all skin tones or his reds like Redrum or Unicorn Blood. Every velour liquid lipstick is 100 percent vegan and cruelty free, and last all day with a gorgeous matte finish. Finish off the gift with a Velour Lip Scrub in any delicious flavor ranging from Orange Soda to Pancakes and Bacon to make a gift set any liquid lipstick fanatic will adore.

For the Eye Shadow Experimentalist:

Does the beauty lover in your life constantly try different elaborate eye shadow looks? Then look no further than Colourpop Cosmetics' stunning pressed pigment eye shadow palettes. Every palette is absolutely gorgeous with a mix of mattes, metallic and satin shadows. If any of those words made no sense to you, get this: Every palette ranges from $16 to $20, so you can buy your loved one a gift that they will love without breaking the bank.

For the Glitter Obsessed:

If your beauty lover’s life motto is that everything is better with glitter, then Lime Crime is definitely the place to shop. Their website features dozens of different glitter products from eye shadows and highlighters to stunning liquid lipsticks. Their Metallic Velvetines and Diamond Crushers are pure glitter for your lips, while their Diamond Dew lip toppers will amp up any eye look.

For the Blushing Beauty:

Tarte makes some of the best blushes on the market and this Christmas, they put together eight of their incredible blushes and two of their highlighters into a stunning palette guaranteed to give anyone a gorgeous, healthy glow. The set is an $150 value, but you can grab it at Sephora for just $44, which is a bargain.

For the Highlighter Queen:

By far the best highlighters that money can buy are the Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Glow Kits. These stunning kits come with either four or six different highlighters made to compliment all skin tones. From beautiful natural champagne and gold highlights in the Sun Dipped Glow Kit to the stunning blue and pink tones of the Aurora and Moonchild Glow Kits, there’s an option for whatever type of glow that your beauty lover strives for.

For the All-Around Beauty Addict:

If you want the perfect gift for the beauty lover who is constantly trying new products and working on achieving flawless looks, the Sephora Favorites Superstar Everyday Must Haves set will have them in tears. The set is valued at $224, but is sold at Sephora exclusively for $75 and features 13 of Sephora’s best selling products from 2017. You get three full-sized products, including a new Beauty Blender, which is basically priceless for any beauty addict. As a beauty lover who has received these sets in the past, I highly recommend them.

Hopefully, I gave you some idea of what to get the beauty lover in your life. If all else fails, a Sephora or Ulta gift card are always appreciated. Happy shopping!

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
