We all love the Hoos. Sometimes we just don't love them all the way in Scott Stadium when we could be watching them in a heat-controlled environment that might also offer food, drinks, and chairs. Or if they're in a different state.
So consider this your definitive guide for the best places to watch the game besides the stadium.
Trinity
This is a no-brainer. Trin has steins, spinach and artichoke dip, and a great view of the game from the comfort of the bar seats. It's a great atmosphere and an awesome way to watch the game.
The Virginian
The Virg is a classic and has been at UVA for decades, so you can feel cool for watching where generations of students have. Also: crab cakes.
Boylan
Boylan beats most of the options space-wise. The upper floor has several TVs, and what could be better than creating your own burger while cheering on the Hoos?
Crozet
Crozet is another great option. It's got two floors if the downstairs is packed and good viewing space of the TV. Crozet also has a larger selection of drinks (fresh zens, anyone?) and, of course, pizza.
Mellow Mushroom
You can't beat Mellow. Split some pitchers with your friends and enjoy a view anywhere in the restaurant. Mellow wins for viewing space since they have several TVs and, like Boylan, it's also a restaurant so there's more space.
Edgar Allan Poe's Public House (No. 3)
While not usually the most popular choice, it was recently renovated and has a whole new menu. I haven't been since they redid it, but definitely want to check it out. It's also great for when some of the more popular choices are packed.
