The needs of a freshman in college are vastly different than any other grade. They are learning to be responsible, independent, and organized. These five apps can help them to do so with ease.
1. Mindly.
This app allows you to visually map out everything running through your head so that it may be a little bit more manageable. It doesn't require internet connection to work and is a great way to plan for things like essays or events.
2. Circle of 6.
Circle of Six allows you to input six contacts to be quickly and easily alerted in case of an emergency. This app has been praised for it's use to prevent dangerous situations during those late night parties or lonely walks home where anything could go wrong.
3. TED.
TED is my favorite app for a quick wake up with meaning. The app is filled with short lectures that touch on just about anything you could think of. Instead of checking Facebook in the morning, check this instead. It'll kick start the right parts of the brain to lead to a successful day of learning.
4. Wunderlist.
Are you one of those people that forgets everything within twenty minutes? Write it down. Wunderlist is my go to app for making to do lists, shopping lists, and even just jotting down numbers I need to call back. It allows me to keep moving but, not forget the things I said I would do when I got back home.
5. Wabbitemu
This app has saved my life at least seven times. Wabbitemu may be a strange title for a virtual calculator, but it's so versatile and easy to use. If you lose your $60+ graphing calculator, Wabbitemu will hold it's place until you relocate it a week, or month, later. This is also useful for doing bills, finding a tip, or figuring a discount while shopping.
These apps are definitely worth making space for on your iPhone.
