I have loved Disney movies since I was a little girl; they inspire such feelings of nostalgia in me every time I watch them. I don't think I have ever come across a Disney film that I have not loved, maybe I'm just a little biased since I'm such a mega Disney fan. These movies keep me believing that there is good in the world and that happy endings can happen, we just have to keep searching and never give up hope. Here are my top 10 favorite Disney films that I wanted to share with you all, give them a watch if you want!

1. The Princess and the Frog (2009)

What's the message? The Princess and the Frog has strong messages about the importance of family, friends, and food (how it can bring people together) and suggests that what we want isn’t always what we need.

2. Toy Story (1995)

What's the message? When you're in the thick of it and you can't find a way out, you're going to want your closest pals by your side. Through the good times and the bad, Woody, Buzz, and the gang stuck together. They showed us the power of not only being there for friends when things are going well but also staying close to support one another in times of crisis.

3. The Black Cauldron (1985)

What's the message? There is no greater love than dying for your friends (and a world of people you don’t know). Gurgi makes the ultimate sacrifice when he jumps into the cauldron, and he does it to save his friends.

4. Mulan (1998)

What's the message?Take charge of your own destiny. No one else should be in control of your life. It’s up to you, so live it!

5. Oliver and Company (1988)

What's the message? The film shows that positive actions towards others are more important than physical transactions.

6. Cinderella (1950)

What's the message?Kindness can have an almost magical effect in transforming lives.

7. Beauty and the Beast (1991)

What's the message? It’s not what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside that counts.

8. Coco (2017)

What's the message? It helps kids become global citizens by embracing cultural diversity.

9. Tangled (2010)

What's the message? Take a Step Out of Your Comfort Zone.

10. Aladdin (1992)

What's the message?Lying gets you nowhere.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
