The Best Air Fryers To Gift THAT Person In Your Life Who Always Cooks For You

I use mine more than my oven, toaster, and microwave combined.

It took me a long time to understand what the point of an air fryer really was. Couldn't I just bake something and get the same consistency?

My opinions took a total 180 when several years ago my mom made some delicious, homemade crispy fries. I was shocked when she told me she made them in her air fryer. Without a single drop of oil, they felt crispy and indulgent, unlike anything I have been able to achieve in an oven.

Since then, I've put nearly every solid food imaginable in the air fryer. My favorite way to use it is by throwing a handful of marinated veggies in it before stir-frying them and simmering them in a sauce. The vegetables stay crispy and continue to taste fresh for days after.

I'll use my parent's air fryer whenever I'm home visiting them (which has been a lot recently), but I look forward to sending them several links to some of the air fryers I've been eyeing to add to my own kitchen in the hopes of 2021 being the year I eat crispy, homemade french fries every single day.

Through my research, I found the best of the best for every situation. Whether you're a meat lover, enjoy a good indoor barbecue, or even want to bake desserts and dry fruit, these are the best air fryers out there, for every budget:

Chefman 2.1 Quart Analog Air Fryer if you're eating on a budget in your tiny apartment.

Target

The compact size of this one makes it perfect for anyone like me with a tiny kitchen or who doesn't plan on cooking for a large number of people in it.

The best part is that according to the hundreds of five-star reviews, the small size doesn't cut short on how quickly and effectively it works.

One Target reviewer says it's "easy to operate with just a turn of the dial to adjust temperature and set time. Cleaning is a breeze! I love that you can air fry raw frozen chicken wings in under half an hour!"

$40

Instant Pot 10 Quart Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven if you want to fry a full rotisserie chicken without risking second-degree oil burns.

Target

For the person who wants to air fry a full rotisserie chicken, this one's for you. This is ideal for someone making larger quantities of food — according to the hundreds of five-star reviews, it's a meat lover's dream.

$120

PowerXL Air Fryer Pro 6 Quart for the person who likes putting several sides together to make a meal.

Target

For the tech-loving healthy chef, this is perfect. The many one-touch options make it easy to click on the chicken, fish, or even dessert or skewers logo without having to toy with any temperature or time settings on your own.

The different layers in this make it perfect if you want to air fry your meat, veggies, and even dessert (if fried Oreos are your thing) at the same time.

$140

Ninja Foodi 9-in1 Pressure Cooker And Air Fryer for the person who KNOWS they can have it all.

Target

If you're one of the many home chefs who have been considering upgrading the way you cook from home, this Ninja Foodi 9-in1 is ideal. If you want to make crispy vegetables and protein just as much as you love making stews, curries, and pasta, this one is perfect.

In this, you can bake, broil, fry, roast, and more. Plus, the dishwasher-safe parts make for easy clean-up unlike a lot of other air fryers that can get sticky and require heavy amounts of scrubbing with steel wool.

If you're getting this as a gift for your friend who loves throwing dinner parties, get the bigger 8-quart size — it's perfect if you're making larger amounts of food.

Dash Tasti Crisp Air Fryer 2.6 Quarts for the chic chef.

Amazon

With thousands of five-star Amazon reviews, this one works great and is available in five fun colors: blue, red, white, green, and black. The small size is ideal for anyone cooking one or two portions of food, and the auto turn-off feature is ideal if you're just as forgetful as I am.

Cosori Air Fryer Max XL 5.8 Quart for the person who loves food and hates cooking.

Amazon

Amazon's favorite air fryer is a massive hit with anyone who hates cooking. With over 17,000 five-star reviews, this one is super easy to use.

The 11 presets ranging from standard vegetables and meat to even bread and desserts — it's a no-brainer for the person who calls cooking a total drag.

$120

Instant Vortex Pro Air Fryer Oven 9 in 1 for the rotisserie lover.

Amazon

Most air fryers involve putting your food in, and blindly waiting till the timer dings. That's usually fine for me, but if you're perhaps too curious or impatient to see what's happening inside while you're cooking, the light and window on this is perfect.

Its extra functions mean you can make a rotisserie chicken in it, put some shelves in to cook three different things at once, or just make 10 quarts' worth of french fries.

Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 for anyone who likes to bake.

Amazon

If you plan on baking desserts and pizzas or making dried fruit, the long flat surface on this is perfect in its shape as a more traditional oven. The LED screen and many options on this one make it great for more seasoned chefs.

If your specific goal is just to air fry, this probably isn't for you. It's great if you want to crisp more unique items.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.

1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.

This week, my parents went on vacation and left me with the responsibility of watching the house and the dog. Easy, right? Feed the dog, don’t burn the house down, do whatever you want within reason. I’m not the type to throw wild parties or have a parade of hookups, and my parents know this. The most I do is bring my laptop into the family room and refuse to use headphones.

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!
