I've been wanting to touch this topic for a long time, and now with Hillary being given the Democratic nomination by the establishment and the Associated Press, I feel the time is right. Hillary and her campaign staff really believe that most Bernie supporters will fall in line behind her come November. I laugh, that loud crackling laugh you let out when watching The Three Stooges for the first time. Like any right-minded Bernie supporter who understands what Bernie's movement really says when he talks about money out of politics, ending a corrupt finance system and a right to healthcare for all people is that we are true to those beliefs. They make up the entire Sanders and progressive movement in the first place.
Yet the establishment left and Hillary really believe we will stand behind her as our only choice in the general election. They really don't know us well, Bernie supporters like myself want to see nothing more than the end of corrupted dark money in politics. End of racist policies that affect minority communities of African Americans and Hispanics alike. Why would any Bernie supporter go out and vote for a Republican who pretends to be a Democrat? The Bernie or bust movement is really picking up speed, and it's time to play a game of chicken. Imagine two huge semi trucks running full throttle at each other. One is driven by Donald Trump, the other controlled by Hillary Clinton.
With a nail-biter election hanging over our heads, we see Donald Trump tied with Hillary in national polls. In some polls, Hillary is actually trailing Trump. With this in mind, most Bernie supporters would like to see nothing else then a corrupt, cheating politician who uses neoliberal tactics to push a pro-corporate agenda go down in flames to the most hated candidate in presidential election history, discrediting every future politician similar to the Clinton Campaign we see now.
While Trump would be a horrible president, there is also a chance—a great chance—he will be so incompetent that nothing or little will happen during his administration. Clinton would definitely push a large amount of power and loopholes to dark money interests and whoever else gave her money because her loyalty is bought, not earned. We are talking about a candidate who let a random civilian onto a secret CIA information loop because of donations alone. If that doesn't scream criminal, then you're heavily biased. Clinton's loyalty to the people will only last till the money starts rolling in, which it already has. I have no doubt she would throw every single current supporter—or policy—she has stood for under the bus if there are enough zeros on a check with her name on it.
We are talking about a democratic candidate that talks a big game about fracking while at public events to get public exposure on the left, yet started a worldwide fracking council to expand fracking to every country in the world while serving as Obama's secretary of state. Hillary can't walk seven feet without changing her mind or involving herself in the fringe between legal and illegal. Email servers, election fraud, dark money interests, sketchy foundation funds and pro war efforts show Hillary to be one of the most pathetic self described "progressive" candidates in our nation's history. Don't be fooled with the progressive stance she talks so fervently about. She is simply trying to match her current opponent's (Bernie Sanders) momentum to completely win over the Democratic primary before she jumps ship to the far right for the general election. I will not vote for Hillary and I will also never put in a vote for Donald Trump to be president of the United States. I might be the only voter who goes in to vote for only local or senate elections while leaving the presidential ballot unfilled. In which case, if I wake up in November with an orange-skinned man with a really bad comb over as our president, Hillary Clinton, also the establishment press including NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC and current political leaders who back Clinton now should owe the American people and I a huge apology. Also they should promise to never promote or sell the American people on a bought neoliberal politician as a respectable candidate ever again. We are a nation built for the people who should be led by those who care for the people most, not giant corporations who give out fat checks to super PACs behind closed doors with transcripts so corrupt and career-ending that even Hillary Clinton rather talk about email servers.
