On July 25, 2016, Bernie Sanders spoke at the Democratic National Convention. It was clear that the Bernie supporters had come out to see him, shown by the floods of people with signs with ideas similar to that of "Bernie or Bust". But by the end of Bernie's 30 minute speech, the crowd was shown again and instead people were seen holding up "Bernie" signs on top of Hillary's "I'm With Her", so they now said "Bernie With Her".
I agree with Sarah Silverman, "Bernie or bust people are ridiculous."
Bernie started a revolution, that will not end until things improve, but revolutions take time. He showed that the United States is ready for a change just by the large amount of support he got. Flashback to when Bernie first started his campaign, people thought that it was a joke that a socialist would even have a chance, but boy did he show them wrong.
He united a lot of people who saw problems with our country and showed that together we can and we will make change. All is not lost. Bernie may not be the presidential nominee but that does not mean this fire has gone out, "berns" don't go away that fast. But for this revolution to continue, Donald Trump can not become president and the absolute only way to prevent that from happening is to vote for Hillary Clinton.
I don't like Hillary, to be straightforward, I think she is too closely connected with big banks/business. But all this being said. she is not a fascist and I do not think the Bernie or bust people realize what a vast difference this really is. This is not the election to vote for a third party candidate or decide to not vote to make a stand against the electoral process. If you are doing this then you are basically giving another vote for Trump.
It is hard for me to vote for Hillary too, I feel like she has no respect for Bernie supporters, and honestly Trump may be trying harder to get Bernie supporters votes. Bernie's fight is not over, but it will be if we vote for Trump. Our country still has a chance if Hillary becomes president. With a Trump presidency, this country will end up in a deep hole that will take years to fix. We want to continue the revolution not stop it. A vote for Hillary is a chance at a future to believe in.
