3 Reasons Why Tinder Changes Your Life

If you don't already know, Tinder is a dating app that's popular world wide. Users range from college students, to busy working women and men, single moms and dads, and even the older folks looking for love. But Tinder got a bad name from the assumption it's only for hook-ups, cat fishing, credit card thefts, and dangerous encounters. That's why so many people are hesitant to admit they use the app, or that they met their partner through Tinder!

When using it be prepared for a hit or miss. For me, I was struck by Tinder's magic and am now in an amazing relationship. And I found that regardless if it's a hit or miss, Tinder is a great app, and here's why:

Boosts confidence

Getting matches on your account shows that people you find attractive also find you attractive. Confidence should come from within, but getting a few matches only confirms your sexiness! Even if you don't get matches, you still had the confidence to build a profile, and that's better than not doing it out of fear of rejection. Tinder has helped many people I know regain their confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth just by being brave and putting themselves out there.

Gives you life experiences

Tinder = meeting new people, dates, going to events, exploring new places, good conversation, dinners, and lots of desserts.

Tinder also = meeting weirdos, bad dates, awkward silences, holding in farts, paying for overpriced food... the list goes on. Despite this, you still got out of the house and had a life experience you can look back on. You'll grow as a person from all of these experiences, learning what you do and don't like.

You can come across a real match

Tinder transformed the way we interact by showing you hundreds of people near you who also want to date, right in the palm of your hand. It connects us with people we may never have met otherwise. Even if you're not looking for something serious, you might just stumble upon someone you really get along with. Tinder is a mixed bag; you never know what you'll get. But you might meet the person who will open up your mind/world. I never knew that my Tinder date would become such a source of happiness later down the road.

So, if you haven't already and are single, try the app now! Always be smart and safe. Happy Tindering!

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
