Music has a way of affecting your brain and can enhance the way someone is feeling; it can do so much for someone. Music can be relatable, motivate us, or simply make one feel better when life has them down. For the most part, I use music for background noise and motivation.
My playlists are filled with many types of upbeat music. I can go from listening to pop music one moment, to trap (rap) music the next. The genres don't determine if something will on my playlist, it really depends on how the music makes me feel.
When waking up, I want music that is going to get me excited about the day. Lyrics in the songs I choose are about getting money and wanting the finer things in life. Some songs are about, being beautiful and dressing nice, thinking well about myself.
While I'm listening to songs about women empowerment, those songs make me feel like the most beautiful woman. As I stare in the mirror, singing my heart out, I see all of my beauty whether anyone can see it I see myself.
My workout playlist helps me to stay motivated to workout. I use the songs to time myself during intervals, and also to just take my mind of the pain my body might be feeling while working out.
When I also use music as background noise, I do this most when I am doing homework. Music helps relax my mind and I don't feel the stress of getting an assignment done. When I am driving music helps me, it serves as background noise for me because I tend to do a lot of deep thinking while I drive.
As a daycare teacher, I also use music to soothe the children during naptime, it usually will put them to sleep and if they don't sleep they will at least stay quiet while the music plays.
Music plays a great deal in my day to day life. I cannot remember a day where I went for a whole 24 hours without music. Whether I am using music to serve as background noise, a mood booster, or to put my students to sleep, there are songs for every occasion.
