Best part about dating a military man

We asked and you told.

Against all odds your paths met. You fell for that military man. What was it that made you fall so hard for him? Was it his politely well-mannered charm, or his patriotism towards his country?

1. He is protective

Not a day goes by that he doesn’t check in on you. Not feeling well? Day or night, off he goes to the store to get you some medicine. Feeling sore after a workout? He’ll make sure there’s a nice warm bath waiting for you. He loves you and he wants you to know that!

2. He makes you a better you

He is so disciplined that it is bound to rub off on you. Sometimes he is so polite that you don’t know what to do with yourself when he is off introducing himself to every single person in the room. Although, it can be intimidating you love him and if that means putting on a brave face and shaking 100 peoples’ hands, you will do it!

3. A uniform makes a sexy guy even sexier

It is no secret that a man in a uniform is smoking hot and that goes for our military boyfriends. Whether he’s dressed in his everyday fatigues or decked out in his formal uniform he is one sexy guy.

4. Kindness

Many Military men have it drilled into them at this point to respect others, but especially if your boyfriend has been in some pretty traumatizing situations and seen human suffering. He really understands the importance of kindness and won’t take you for granted.

5. Best friends

You know the expression “I’ve got your back.” Your boyfriend is probably in a service unit and he is very close with those guys. They’ve seen the best and the worst of each other. He knows the meaning of true friendship. He will laugh with you and love you, and be an incredible best friend to you.

6. He’s a man, not a boy

This can’t be that much of a surprise. Military men tend to be very manly men. He is able to be strong when needed and sensitive when necessary. He’ll take care of stomping on that spider or fixing your car, and turn around and fix a gourmet meal with all the fixin’s. Had a bad day and need a hug? He’s right there for you. No matter how independent you are it is nice to have a MAN around!

7. He will always stand up for you

The thought of someone walking all over you sickens him and he won’t stand for it. Being with your military boyfriend you will always feel like someone truly has your back.

8. He is diverse

There is never a dull moment with you guys because he has so much random knowledge. Whether it be different religions he has learned about or different cultures he has seen, he can’t wait to share all of his stories with you. He just makes you want to learn more about him and more about the rest of the world.

9. He appreciates you

Whether you have done the distance thing or not your military man has been away from his loved ones for an extended amount of time before. He understands how precious time is and that makes him so appreciative of the time you both do have together. He’ll show up at your door unexpectedly with flowers and a pizza or plan a day at a spa for the two of you. He knows how to appreciate you and isn’t afraid to show it.

10. You always feel safe

His arms are your safe haven. When you are with him you know that everything is okay. Lets face it, if he knows how to shoot a sniper he can probably escort you on an evening walk and you’ll feel safe.

11. It is real

A man in the military has a very busy life especially if he gets deployed. When he is home he is not going to waste his time with someone that is not special to him. Because of what you have gone through together your relationship is only that much stronger and no one will ever be able to challenge that. He is real, open, honest, and trusting.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
