Ben Shapiro: Your New Conservative Hero

Forget Milo Yiannopoulos and Tomi Lahren, Ben Shapiro is where it's at.

If you have been watching the news recently, you would have heard about how a conservative Jewish man literally made UC Berkeley burst into flames recently. Okay, I may be stretching the truth, as he did not literally cause the campus to go up in actual flames, but these students went nuts over a guy who had the right to be there and a right to express his views.

That conservative Jewish man is Ben Shapiro, and if you haven't heard of him until now, let me introduce you to this political genius.

I learned about Ben Shapiro from my brother, who showed me a video of this guy taking down liberal arguments left and right, leaving his opponents visibly shook. Attached below is the video that still blows my mind at how quickly he can savagely destroy any liberal left argument thrown at him!

He is not like Milo Yiannopoulos or Tomi Lahren for those of you who follow conservative speakers. What I love most about Ben Shapiro is that he is respectful but he is not afraid to destroy your whole argument and then finish it off with a sarcastic comment.

He knows his facts and he doesn't care what other people think of him or his points. I know you're now probably thinking, "But isn't that what draws people to Tomi Lahren and Milo Yiannopoulos, is that they speak their mind and don't care about the backlash?"

Yes, but Ben Shapiro does it with such class, sometimes people don't even pick up that he is mocking their liberal arguments, and that is a true art form to master. Tomi and Milo, to me, are all about the ratings and the views with their constant social media updates and TV Interviews.

Ben Shapiro rarely does TV interviews but when he does, it is captivating for those of us who cling to every word he says. He wants to educate people who think they know everything, by completely turning their original argument around on them and having them think for a moment.

If you are a conservative and haven't heard of Ben Shapiro, I highly recommend listening to his podcasts or reading his articles. While they are jammed packed with news and political information, he makes listening to the news fun with his dry and sarcastic sense of humor.

He freely speaks his mind and I admire that about him. He also makes you think about your own views and why you see things the way you do. In today's society, the ability to think freely is being taken away slowly one person at a time. I have been told so many times in college by my professors, I think the way I do because of the environment I was brought up in.

Sure, the environment you were raised in plays a factor for everyone in the way they think and feel about certain things, but I have done my research and have made educated decisions to support the views I hold close to my heart and believe are important.

I believe that is what makes Ben Shapiro so great.

Whether you agree with him or not, he does make you think about the issues that are affecting our great nation and whether the outcome will be positive or negative to us civilians.

If you would like to know more about Ben Shapiro and his stance on US issues, I strongly recommend listening to his podcasts or his show "The Ben Shapiro Show" on The Daily Wire.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
