If Ben & Jerry's Flavors Were Celebrities
Bon Appetit

When you want a world of unique ice cream to choose from, your first instinct is to turn to the plethora of flavors created by Ben & Jerry's. From sweet and savory, to dangerously indulgent, each one has a personality of its own. You might even say they are individuals with their own special quirks. A lot of celebrities have blessed us with amazing flavors, like Jimmy Fallon or Stephen Colbert, but a lot have yet to put their name with their own flavor. So, I decided to take the lead for them and match them to a flavor myself.

1. Mariah Carey - Salted Caramel Core

Mariah, the industry's classic diva, is known for dishing out some major salt and shade to her fellow celebrities. Who can forget her feud with Nicki Minaj, or her claiming that she did not know J. Lo? She's not afraid to let her salty side show through under all that coyness, which is why a sea of blonde brownie batter with salted, hard caramel core is the perfect flavor for her.

2. Jennifer Aniston - Blondie Ambition

Oh, Jennifer. Our one true friend, and lovable blonde in Hollywood. Her trademark and signature ''Rachel" locks got ten seasons of screen time on NBC, and they are still shining today. Everyone is always gushing about how great she looks for her age, and no one can deny it. A buttery, brown sugar concoction filled with blondie brownie bites sounds like the perfect sweet combination to honor our favorite blonde.

3. Mark Wahlberg - Boston Cream Pie

I don't know if many people know this, it's not like he talks about it or anything, but "The Departed" star is from the great city of Boston. How could he be matched with any flavor other than Boston Cream Pie, infused with yellow cake pieces, and classic pastry filling? If that doesn't sum this Bostonian up, I don't know what does.

4. Jennifer Lawrence - Chunky Monkey

We all know that J. Law is not shy about her love of indulgent food. She's outspoken, loudmouthed and hilarious, and that's why we love her. Chunky Monkey envelopes all of her craziness within a batter of walnuts, fudge chunks and banana ice cream.

5. Ryan Seacrest - Americone Dream

This flavor already has a celebrity on its arm, comedian Stephen Colbert. However, I couldn't help but think that it fits Ryan Seacrest perfectly. What is more American than the guy that literally hosts everything on U.S. television? Mr. Seacrest is the country's most traditional and classy host, and that's why he deserves the most patriotic of flavors.

6. Shia LaBeouf - Half Baked

Everyone knows Shia LaBeouf, whether it's from our Disney childhood, or "Transformers." And everyone knows Half Baked, one of Ben & Jerry's most popular flavors. Shia is known to be a little interesting, and has definitely changed his innocent image over the years. So, take Half Baked, which starts with pure vanilla ice cream, but then smothers it in goops of chocolate chip cookie dough and fudge -- and you get a flavor that reflects the wondrous Shia.

7. Taylor Swift - That's My Jam

From "Love Story," to "Blank Space," this songwriting seductress has written plenty of jams for our generation. She's seemingly sweet, which is why the raspberry core compliments her. But, she also loves to indulge in the many men of Hollywood, which is reflected in the chocolate ice cream and fudge chips. All centered around a sickeningly sweet and tart raspberry core, this one is for our hopeless romantic.

8. Ed Sheeran - Pumpkin Cheesecake

I could pretend to go all in-depth with this one, but who am I kidding? Ed's signature hair is a lovely shade of orange, and he's beaming with creativity. His songs are deliciously emotional, and he puts a whole new spin on the art of rapping. I'm going to pair him with this combination of pumpkin cheesecake, complete with a graham cracker swirl ("cracker" also sounds really cute in a British accent).

9. Beyoncé - Empowermint

I dare you to listen to any anthem on "Lemonade," or any 'Yoncé album and not feel the female empowerment. Whether she is telling you that you woke up flawless today, or that you should tell the boy goodbye without feeling sorry about it, she has the power to make you feel like royalty. Although this flavor was created to reflect the power of a democracy, I believe that the peppermint swirls and fudge could also be an ode to the Queen B.

10. Donald Trump - Hazed and Confused

I am confused that Donald Trump is the Republican nominee for President of the United States of America. I am confused about Trump University. And, I will be confused if he wins the election. I also think that he is kind of confused about what foundation matches his skin tone. So, here, let's give him this nutty hazelnut flavor with some fudge chips inside.

Now grab your favorite pint and get to scooping!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
